Hello, I am new to the forums. I am hoping that a few of you have stayed at both club levels at GF. My family stayed at SL last Dec. and loved it but I'm wondering if I should go for RP this Jan. Please tell me what you liked/disliked about each. We love the GF and won't stay anywhere else. Just haven't stayed RP.:confused3 Thanks so much!

My choice would be RPC without hesitation :). The lounge is spacious, the CMs are awesome, and it's so relaxing sitting up in the lounge listening to the band playing down in the lobby and watching all the people coming and going :goodvibes. I didn't care of SL with the lounge being right in the lobby as you walk into the SL building and the lounge, IMO, is very small and was very chaotic when we stayed there. The food offerings are the same in both lounges, but I think RPC provides a more relaxing atmosphere and less chaos in the lounge ;).

I have stayed at both. The first time that we stayed at RPC, we loved the feel of having a lot more space in the lounge area to eat. We were always able to find a seat. We could also hear the music from the lobby. Another plus was that if it was raining out and wanted to go to Gasparilla or somewhere to eat in the main building, we didn't get wet going out like we did when we stayed in SL. We loved having the ability to watch the fireworks from our room because we had a TPV room. However, all of us felt like we were missing seeing the resort because we really didn't leave the main building.

So we went back to SL last year. Yes, we did see more of the resort, got soaking wet running from building to building, were a bit cramped when we ate in the lounge and missed hearing the music from the lobby. Couldint get comfortable watching the fireworks. We are going back to RPC in July. We know that is the place for us. We just have to make more time to enjoy the surroundings of the resort.

I've done RPC twice and Sugarloaf once. I will not be back to Sugarloaf. For that kind of money, I much prefer the Innkeeper's Club at BWI.

RPC is very nice. I love how the tables are spread out so that you can enjoy your offerings without sitting on top of everyone else. It's quiet and you actually feel like you got something special by paying extra for it. I did not get that feeling at all from Sugarloaf.

My family loved Royal Palm Club. IMO it's much better than Sugar Loaf. I liked being in the main building and they had more offerings at Royal Palm Club than Sugar Loaf.

I also disliked having the lounge on the bottom floor of Sugar Loaf as you walked in. The flow was off to me. It didn't feel as comfortable and relaxing.

Don't have experience with RP, but to me the convenience of SL is great. We lliked the convenience of being able to grab food and/or drink on the way out to our destination, and the way back in. Plus it was super convenient (not as much as the bar, but it was already paid for) to get drinks (alcoholic and not) and/or food while being at the pool (the courtyard pool).

We also liked being in a building where (almost) guests of that building are the only ones entering that building. Compare that to the main building (and yes I undertand they can't access the RP floors via the elevator) where visitors galore flock into the building.

We always stayed in the main building. Now we are DVMs at BLT. Miss the GF. I'm hoping to get an add on to the GF vacation club when they start selling. But nothing beats the Concierge level Main Building! :thumbsup2

We don't stay club level very often anymore, but based on price I would choose SL. In general, I like the location of SL close to the main building, easy access to the courtyard pool and Gasparilla Grill, and the small size of the building makes access to the lobby lounge very convenient. The RPC, however, is a much different experience. Viewing the main lobby from above is fantastic, and listening to the music in the evening from the seating areas is amazing. RPC lounge is gorgeous, you just don't get that same atmosphere in SL. Rooms are essentially the same, although I do give the RPC rooms the advantage of having better views. But back to price, I find it hard to justify spending the extra for RPC over SL; it is more of a milestone/celebration treat. Now, if the extra cash doesn't make a difference to you, you will certainly find RPC to be the right choice...:cool2:
