I'm looking for a place for DH and I to have dinner one evening during our trip to celebrate our 20th anniversary. I think I may send the boys to the Neverland Club and since we are kind of picky eaters, Grand Floridian Cafe looked like a great choice. Is there any place at the hotel that you can go upstairs to watch the MK fireworks? I would love to eat at the California Grill because of that, but the menu just doesn't look like much that we would love eating.

To see the fireworks you need to be outside of the restaurant. If you are lucky enough to get a table overlooking the grounds at the rear of the restaurant, you can see some low level fireworks but nothing higher.

However you can stroll right out the restaurant take a left and have a wonderful view right near the marina.

My recommendation is this based on dining there. Have dinner; allow enough time to go to Gasparillas which is the GF's quick service, get something for dessert, much less expensive and just as good as the Cafe, and enjoy your dessert at one of the outside tables between Gasparillas and the marina and enjoy the fireworks.
