Has anyone ever eaten here? I don't see it mentioned much and wondered what it was like.

thats B/C its a hidden gem! its fabulous for all three meals IMO. it is beautiful, relaxing, and hardly ever crowded in my experience.

I'll be eating there for the first time in September.

We really enjoy it. We've been there for lunch and dinner, and we prefer lunch b/c it's less crowded. The food is good, it's a very pretty restaurant, and we love their mini-desserts - you can try several!! :hippie:

We ate here our last trip. It was very nice. A pretty place to eat. There were kids but it seemed more adult to me. Not the favorite place that my kids ate that week but my DH and I both liked our dinner very much. Very nice place to eat.

I love having lunch here, great sandwiches and it's nice and relaxing during the day!

We agree. We have lunch there virtually every trip. It's great to go there after a busy am at the MK.

They do take them. Needing them depends on when you go. Once when we tried to go at Christmas, the guard at the gate wouldn't let us in to the Grand Floridian w/o an ADR. As for seating at the restaurant, the only time when we actually *needed* an ADR was for dinner.

We always make reservations even if we wait until that day. For lunch, you can sometimes just walk up but not always.

My parents took my 2 young sons last December for dinner while my husband and I had a night out. We did make ADRs for them. Apparently, the wait staff were wonderful to my 2 boys. They helped my parents pick out a dish for my younger son who is a terribly fussy eater and even rounded up some strawberries for my older son just because they are his favorite, not that they were on the menu. Two thumbs up from us!

DW & I don't disagree on much, but Grand Floridian Cafe is one we do have differing opinions on. I think it is a hidden gem and good for every meal. DW thinks they are the equivalent of picking food off of the buffet, plating it, and charging you too much for everything. I say if they are picking the food off the buffet, it must be a really good buffet! :rotfl:

We ate lunch here earlier this month and loved it. The sandwiches are awesome and even my picky DD5 found something she enjoyed!! We did have an ADR for our lunch time.

I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here over the years. Everything has been good to excellent (except my steak which was tough but flavorful). I am not a big breakfast fan but the eggs benedict were awesome. it is apleasant place to eat. Very light and airy inside.
