Surprisingly, this was pretty hard to get into. We tried in early December, and couldn't get in.

We have ADR's there already. I was just wondering what to exspect. I never really hear anyone talk about it and if it was that bad I thought maybe I would cancel and do something else.

I love it! My favorite entree from the whole trip was from lunch at GFC! The atmosphere was wonderful, the CMs were wonderful, the food was wonderful! We strolled around the grounds of the GF afterwards, did a little shopping, it was a really great experience! I have ADRs for it again for this upcoming trip!

We haven't tried it for dinner either, but we love it for lunch! Its such a quaint little place - the food is really good - and the service has always been great for us! In fact, we'll be back again in about a week!

We have really enjoyed our meals there. We like sitting in the back near the windows for a beautiful view of the grounds.

I would suggest getting an ADR. The guard would not let us in without one.

We loved our dinner there on our last visit in January. I hope to be able to fit it in on our September trip. I had the shrimp pasta, (there is a picture someone took on the food pic thread) it was wonderful. The service was impeccable (sp?) and we were able to step outside and view the fireworks over the castle. The decor was very pleasant, as were the CM's costumes. We also peeked into 1900 Park Faire next door and was able to see Cindy in the flesh! Even when we went in January they were booked, so I would concur with the others, and ADR is a must. Wonderful experience. Will do again!

I think this is the only one of our ADR's that I haven't read people making grumpy comments about! Everything I've read has been positive.

Snoopygirl, that dessert sampler looks amazing! Do you remember what each dessert was?

I have an ADR for the Grand Floridian Cafe for 9/28, I have seen that you can order the Cinderella slipper but need to order it 48 hours ahead, I was thinking of ordering it when I get there on 9/17 is that ok?

We LOVE GF Cafe. We have only had breakfast here though, but it has become a tradition for DH and I went the kids do the programs at the hotel (i.e. pirate cruise, etc.).

I have enjoyed the veggie fritatta, turkey sausage, fruit platter, granola.

DH has also had the eggs benedict and loved it.

Everything is light and fresh and delicious. IMO it is the best breakfast on property, for it's quality over quantity.

We were there last november(thanksgiving week). We had an ADR for Tuesday and ordered our slipper on Monday morning. It was a real treat for the girls.

I am going to have to say the food is awful, the service terrible, the atmosphere just plain gloomy and depressing because if someone called to make ressies for December and they're full this far in advance, it's just getting WAY too popular and I like to keep this little gem as one of my little Disney secrets!!!

The dessert sampler looks very good, but I've never been able to get past the Chocolate Fondue!!! YUM!!! We've never had a bad meal here yet and we've eaten here breakfast, lunch and dinners. One of our not to be missed favorites.

AussieAngel---I don't remember what the sampler consisted of...it was my DH's dessert. I got the fondue dessert!!!! That was yummy! I totally forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it all. It was milk chocolate and they gave you bananas, strawberries, marshmallows and something else...I think it was cake or something.

We had dinner there a couple weeks ago. Had the spinach dip, caesar salad, cheeseburger, and meatloaf. Very good!

I've booked an ADR at the GF Cafe for lunch in October. The plane is to make our way over to MK a little later for the MNSSHP.

Hope not too silly a question but is it ok to go to GF Cafe in park wear?
