Grand Europe + Disneyland Paris

We are considering doing our first ABD in 2025 which would be the Grand Europe itinerary. While in Paris we'd like to go to Disneyland Paris for a day or the better part of a day if possible. Has anyone ever done that and is there enough time to do that to make it worthwhile? Any other thoughts or experiences with the Grand Europe tour would be welcome too!

I've done Disneyland Paris in one day from the city, although not on an AbD trip. It's about an hour train ride each way. You would either need to miss the day at Versailles or the tour of the Louvre, but if that's OK with you, it could be done.

If you go in the summer, the Disneyland park is typically open until 11 pm. You could potentially leave after lunch on day 5 and make it to the park by 2 or 3 pm, giving you a good amount of time and not missing any of the AbD activities.

I did the England and France trip, plus Disneyland Paris AFTER the tour was over. While it is possible to visit the parks for just one day, I do recommend two days. Please note that we found the Walt Disney park was definitely skippable, Crush's coaster was the only good (or even decent) ride that was unique.

The only thing I can remark is that at least for us, the England and France trip was very tiring (getting up early most days, and going almost all day), so, assuming that the grand tour is at least as tiring, it may be difficult to squeeze that in the middle of your tour.

How many days needed in Disneyland Paris all depend on how big of Disney fan you are and if you want to see/do it all (as much as possible) or just want a snapshot. And are you there with children or just adults?

That the Studios are not worthy of your time also depends on what you like. At the moment there are 4 big shows, so if you do like shows, I wouldn't skip the Studios. Our Tower of Terror is different from the ones in the US, our Marvel area is different from DL.

Plus in 2025 Arendelle should be open (fingers crossed).

Thanks for all the replies! Since some of you asked here's some background. It is just going to be 4 adults late summer/early fall 2025 and I know at least two of us would not mind skipping Versailles. We would mostly just want to ride the unique rides, take in the atmosphere, and shows would not be a priority at all. Hitting it on the way home for a day or two is not a bad idea either if getting there from Rome isn't too expensive or difficult.

I found avengers campus to be very similar to California's version. And the one additional ride, is just the Aerosmith rollercoaster rethemed.

The basic concept of Tower of Terror is the same.

Please note that I enjoyed our day there (Crush coaster was a highlight for us from both parks!) , but we just ran out of things to do pretty quickly, and there were some things (like almost all the Cars and Toy Story attractions) that were poor to ok in quality, and if you only had one day, I would skip that park (Walt Disney Studios) and focus on the castle park.

I definitely think Arendelle will help Walt Disney Studios park, but hard to know for sure until it opens :)

there is of course the issue that most of the rides are mostly (or all) in French. It's pretty humorous to have IronMan talking to us in French for example. I am not counting that as a negative, you get used to just enjoying the ride for what it is.

When we there, there wasn't as many shows as there are now, so I couldn't take that into account, so maybe those help?

The only problem with doing DLP after Grand Europe is that that trip ends in Rome, not Paris, so there's more involved in getting there after the trip. Not to say it isn't doable, just will take a lot more time and effort and expense.

Sayhello

We did DLP after our Rome/Tuscany/Venice trip. It was very easy to fly from Venice to Paris (and we got a car out to DLP and back to the airport). Would be easy to fly from Rome too.

And while CDG/Paris is not my favorite airport - it does have a lot of flight options.

It is totally easy to get from Paris to DLP (or vice versa). (We stayed at DLP and took the train into Paris to show the girls the highlights.)
