I'm trying to decide between the Stingray City Snorkel tour and the Shipwreck and Reef snorkeling. :confused3 Has anyone done both of these or one or the other? It would be myself, DH and DD's 16 and 9. Any input would be greatly appreciated. :flower:

We did Stingray City with a local charter, Capt. Marvin. We actually snorkeled on two different location on a reef which was great. The guide lured a huge (6 ft or so) Green Moray out of a hole for us. Then we went to Stingray City, which the kids loved.

We did Shipwreck and Reef Snorkel, it's convenient to the ship as you snorkel in the harbor in view of the Magic. Saw lots of fish in 2 different locations. Only drawback to me was not seeing any of the island except for there at the landing dock.

We did the Stingray City Snorkel & Swim with Captain Marvin's this past July & loved it! It was myself, my 16 yr. old son, nephew 13 & niece age 10. The boat ride out to the snorkel area was awesome..the water gorgeous & so warm! We would definitely do this again at Grand Cayman. We booked this on our own through Captain Marvin's. Enjoy!!! Another thumbs up for Captain Marvins! Just finished watching the DVD of our excursion for the 100th time and sure do wish we were there again!

Thank you all for your replies!! :flower: So here is another question for you. How do you get over the worries of not booking through Disney? I did check out the Captian Marvins site and even sent them an email with a few questions ( haven't heard back yet) but I feel my palms start to sweat just thinking about it. :scared:

We had great replies and service from Capt MArvins on-line. Not to worry - a very professionally run group. You can call them also. They have an office in the port so you go right to their shop (as opposed to just meeting you on a pier or meeting place somewhere). From there they have their own bus that takes you to the boat.

Thank you everyone!! :D You talked me into it. I booked our excursion through Captain Marvins. We are in port at Grand Cayman on Tuesday....right? :bitelip:

Has anyone tried the Fury Catamaran in Cozumel?
