Thanks - not to sound too incredibly cheap - but could you tell me the approximate cost of renting a car there? Also have you been to Rum Point alot nicer than Seven Mile Beach or are they about the same? I am so sorry to ask so many questions!!JNorris said:Now it's just 5 more days for all of us!!! There is a nice public beach on the north end of Seven Mile Beach which is very nice also. It has bathrooms and showers too, if that is important to you (like it is to me!) We are renting a car and driving ourselves (we've been to GC 2 different times for a week-long vacation, so we know the lay of the land). Riding with DH while driving on the left side of the road is an experience unto itself!![]()

TheWog said:Get in a cab and ask for Sea Grape beach. $4 per person each way and all the facilities you need. Chairs, umbrellas, food, drink, water sports rentals, etc. We had a great day there.

I don't want a beach too close to Georgetown, because they tend to be very rocky. I like smooth water and soft sand!
