Grand Cayman Beaches

Going on the Fantasy on 13 April Western Caribbean and was wanting to know if there was some nice beaches you could walk to or take an inexpensive Taxi ride to enjoy for the day. There will be 10 people in our party and we just want to have a nice relaxing Beach day.

You'll use a tender (small boat) to get from the ship to town. Just look for a taxi (most look like a mini-van), and tell them you want to go to the beach. Trust me, they are waiting on you. You"ll have no problem spotting them. They will take you north on Church St. to the Seven Mile beach area. From the beach, you will have a great view of the ship. When you decide to leave, there will be taxi's waiting to take you back to town. One "tip" I will mention is, if you're the first to board a tax (van), they will wait for it to fill up, before they leave. I know you mentioned that you're party is large, but just something to keep in mind for the one's that have only 2 in their party. They should look for a taxi that has someone else in it. The water on the beach was crystal clear when we last visited.

Thanks for the Info. Is there any particular part of 7mile beach that you would recommend? About how much is the Taxi per person to get there? Thanks again...

I've been researching this very topic. Many have mentioned "Sea Grape" beach as a good location and the taxi ride appears to be $5 per person, one way. Apparently there are beach chairs & umbrellas that you can rent there as well for a small fee ($8 per chair is what I've been told).
