Grand Cayman beach?

We will be going on the June 7 Western Magic. Any suggestions for a nice family beach on Grand Cayman, with swimming and snorkeling? We will be doing this ourselves, how do we get there? Thanks for your help.

I would recommend the 7-Mile Beach. You can take a taxi to the Holiday Inn, where there is a public access path to the beach. There will be vendors there for sports equipment and beach chair rentals. I think the taxi rate is around $6 per person. If you buy your food/drinks from the Holiday Inn, you can also use their facilities (restrooms, shower, etc.).

Seven mile beach is my absolute favorite The sand is so soft and the water is crystal clear! But the best parts of Seven Mile Beach that are great for swimming and sand are also not the best places to snorkel. If you are looking for a good snorkel spot before or after the beach, stop at Eden Rock which is adjacent to the tender dock. Another good place where you can snorkel from shore is Cemetary Reef which is past Seven Mile Beach before you get to West Bay.
