Grand Cayman Beach Question

We've been on the Western Feb/03 and did Captain Marvins followed by 7 mile beach. This time we'd like just to do a beach day. There will be 4 adults, 2 children. Would it be easiest just to take as cab to 7 mile beach? What about Rum Point? The DCL beach excursion would cost a fortune. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure when you're sailing, but as of right now, Rum Point is still closed from Hurricane damage. The public beach at 7 Mile Beach is open, but does have damage all around. We sailed on 11/6 and I couldn't believe Grand Cayman was open for tourists with the lack of everything that seemed to be around. I can understand why they wanted tourists back, they need the money to build, but the island has a VERY long way to get itself back to it's former state.
