Other posts suggest purchasing our passes to the Grand Canyon South Rim before we get to the park (June 9). I looked online and it didn't appear they can be purchased online.

We are leaving Vegas early Monday morning and driving. If we can't get them online, is there anywhere convenient on our way to purchase them? There are a few places listed who sell the passes but not being familiar with the area, I was wondering which would be easiest for us.

We want to avoid the long line getting into the park behind those buying their tickets at the gate.

Thanks!! :)

Muddy Rivers - are you asking about the NPS entry ticket?

To the best of my knowledge, advance tickets can be purchased from the locations listed on their website.

If you don't stop in Williams, then maybe you'll stop at Tusayan and get your entry ticket there. You'll be driving past Tusayan on the way in; if you're approaching the Grand Canyon from the South Gate; and not the East Gate. Otherwise, if it a quiet day, you could just drive to the NPS booth and buy it there.

To the best of my knowledge, even if you did pre-purchased the NPS entry, all traffic is routed through the NPS gates anyway so that they can check your ticket. There might be a separate booth for people with existing tickets; but it's likely that you'll have to stop and show it to a park ranger.
