Grand Californian's handicapped rooms

My mom and I will be staying at the Grand Californian from December 26th through December 30th before beginning a Rose Parade Brennan Tour package. I have requested a handicapped room because my mom has difficulty getting into a tub and standing in a shower. Can anyone tell me where the handicapped rooms are located? Does a handicapped room have a tub and a roll in shower with a fold down seat?

My mom and I took a Disney Magic Western cruise last summer and stayed in a handicapped stateroom. I received lots of information on the cruise board about the handicapped room on the ship. I am hoping someone can share an experience about a handicapped room at the Grand Californian.

DH and I had a handicapped room last month on our 1 night stay at the GC. It was on the 6th floor (we had a concierge room) not too far from the concierge lounge and the elevators.
It had a large bathroom with a regular tub, but with a fold down seat and grab bars on all sides. The closet bar was lowered as well.
That was about all I noticed to make it a handicapped room. I don't know if they have other rooms that are more accesible or not.

Thanks for the information! That's the kind of handicapped room that would be good for my mom. I guess I will have to upgrade to the concierge level.

<font color=navy>You don't have to upgrade to concierge. They also have them on other floors. My dd stayed w/friends on the 4th floor, in a DD view room, and that was an accessible room also.
