I'm not sure what's up (the Fall Getaway specials???) but the DLH is booked for all the days that I've been investigating in December.

So, I'm thinking we'll have to give the Grand Californian a try.

Does anyone know if there are any rooms at the GCH where you can get a view of the Electrical Parade at night? Our son goes to bed early, and we love to watch the fireworks from the DLH, but the parade might make a great alternative....if we can see it?

Anyone???

You might get some glimpses of it. Some of the rooms might have an view of part of it. Disneys Paradise Pier rooms that are on higher floors facing DCA will have a view of it though.

Just wanted to forewarn you that last time I checked, Electrical Parade was only scheduled through the end of September. Hopefully it will be extended (I'm going to GC in October)!!!

Ouch...ew! You're right...I forgot about that!

Hmmm....gotta figure out a way to get a "room with a view" at the DLH!

:( please tell me where you heard this!I cant believe that!We are going in Oct and were soooo counting on this parade!

Initially it was introduced as a limited time only thing to boost lagging numbers at DCA until September 30. I think the website said that too, but I haven't checked recently. I am also going in October and was hoping that they would extend it. However, I'm not too hopeful because according to the schedule on the website, DCA closes at 6 p.m., at least on the weeknights (I'm only there Mon-Thu night, unfortunately).

Let's all hope for the best!!!

I just checked the disney site today and it is on the schedule for Oct and its
going to be there!Whew! So close! Now I ve read in two places that the best
viewing spot is on the north side of the bridge by the winery.I'm confused about that. When I look at a map the only "bridge" I see is going over to the food area on the other side across the pacific wharf? Is this the right bridge?Or do they mean the raised walkway right in front of the winery?

There is a bridge that leads over to the Paradise Pier area that is very close to the Pacific Wharf bridge. We were in the wheelchair area near there on the winery side for the parade. It was so good to see the Electrical Parade again. I got a chill when people were clapping to the music when it started. Just like my first experience with it.

OK so the bridge would be the one that leads to the pacific wharf cafe, being the closest one to the winery, not the one that leads to the Avalon Cove?I am sooo braindead on this issue!I guess it's because on the map it looks like that isn't very close to the parade route. It appears to have the Bay Area in front of it.Jeez I just need to GO to the winery and then I would be a little more relaxed!
