Grand Californian question

We just returned from our 4 night stay at the Grand Californian in a 1 bedroom villa. Every morning, we would notice upon leaving the room there would be wicker baskets placed between every 2 sets of rooms with clean towels and clean sheets in them. What are these for? Extras for you to grab should you need more?

We weren't sure so we never grabbed any. But curious what they were for.

This was our first stay at the Grand Cal on points FYI.

Many of the resorts place baskets outside of the rooms getting trash and towel or a full cleaning. They aren't for your use unless it your room and you aren't checking out.

I did think that originally but every set of rooms had a basket including ours and our neighbors every morning of our stay. I probably should've just asked.

The baskets are there for the cleaning staff to use, rather than have to carry all of those linens on their cleaning carts.

Your neighbors may have been cash guests, they get daily cleaning.

With DVC, there is never any grabbing if you need more. If you need more, you pay for them and they deliver them to your villa.
