Well it is official that the GC is becoming and DVC

On September 18, 2007, it was announced that a Disney Vacation Club presence at Disneyland will be developed as part of an already-begun expansion of Disney's Grand Californian Resort. 52 villas will be available in a configuration that will permit use of studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom accomodations
