Grand Californian-2 Questions

We are planning a trip to the Grand Californian in June 2012. When visiting Disney World, we always have Garden Grocer deliver groceries to our resort. Is there a grocery delivery company in Disneyland? If so, what is the name of the company? Also, we will be making dining reservations for our trip. How far out can you make reservations for Disneyland restaurants? Is it 180 days like Florida? Who do you call to make dining reservations? Can it be done online?

Von's is a local grocery store that offers delivery to many of the hotels near Disneyland and lots of posters here have used this service. http://shop.safeway.com/superstore/default.asp?brandid=2&page=corphome

You can call to make reservations beginning at 60 days out. Unfortunately you can't book online. Call (714) 781-3463. It is not as competitive as WDW, so don't feel the pressure to call as soon as the lines open 60 days out. I have made reservations for the Surf's Up character breakfast and Cafe Orleans hours prior to eating.

Relax about your dining reservations. At DLR you do not have to decide six months in advance where youwant to eat. You can usually get reservations with in a few days of when you want to eat. Often you can get walk up seating but as you are travelling during summer I would make a reservation if you want to eat a meal at Napa Rose, the Blue Bayou or a character meal so you wont be disappointed. I would not call more than one month ahead - two weeks should be sufficient. The number for reservations ( formerly called Priority Seating - never called ADRs) at the Disneyland Resort is (714) 781-3463. Some of the DTD restaurants have their own numbers.

I know that there is a grocery company that delivers to the resort, I suggest checkng out/posting on the Grand Californian lover's thread over on the DVC Boards for which company does a good job.

We have used Von's to deliver to GCH before (like you, we had used Garden Grocer at WDW a couple of times). Just ordered online a few days before we left. We were not there when the groceries arrived (we were planning on being there but the bell desk said not to worry about waiting around, they would accept and store it for us). When we got back we stopped at Bell Desk and the groceries were there, but was too heavy for us to carry, so they bought all of it up to the room for us on a trolley
