We are DVC members and own at BLT. *I have been looking into visiting DL in October 2012 and am wondering if we would even be able to get a one bedroom villa for a week at 7 months. *Does anyone know how difficult it is to get a one bedroom or even a studio villa? *I haven't been able to find anything on how many villas there are at GCV except that there "aren't many". *

I hate the idea of spending the time researching DL and getting excited about it only to find out that there is a slim to none chance of getting a reservation.

I have read that if you call at exactly 7 months out, you should have a good chance of getting what you want at the VGC. If you are worried about it, then you could rent the points, and in turn, rent out your BLT points to cover the cost. That's what I would do if my plans were firm.

If I remember correctly, there are 48 2 bedroom equivalent units. I am from so cal and have booked several stays (3 I think) within the 7 month window, and only had to move my date to find availability on one additional reservation. We stayed at VGC in July if 2010 and made our reservation just past the 7 month mark and were able to get a 1 bedroom and only had to play with our dates by a day. There were no studios available. I agree that I have read many posts that people were able to book if they called exactly at the 7 month mark.

Good luck and I hope it works out DLR is awesome, we have been there 4 times and I cannot wait to go back.

I am going the last week of September of this year and was able to get a GCV 1 bdrm at the 7 month mark. I did call first thing in the morning since I could not move my dates.

Thank you for the replies...I feel better. We are flexible on the dates and I am planning to call first thing in the morning so it sounds like we should be ok.
