Grand Calif hotel entrance to DCA question

Not staying at the Grand Calif, but can I exit DCA through the special gate to eat at the hotel then renter or do you HAVE to be a hotel guest?

Yes, you don't have to be a hotel guest to use the GCH exit. The only time there is a restriction is during the morning hours (I think until 11:00am) in which only hotel guests may enter the park through this entrance.

There is an exception to this rule. If you eat at any of the GCH restaurants, you can show your receipt at the private DCA entrance, and they will let you in without question.
