Since the grand Californian is in the park, would it be possible to make max pass ride Rez from inside the hotel?

From what I have heard, maybe, but ONLY if you have already scanned entry into that park that day. Also, possibly not. I have heard a rumor that you will have to use the in park wifi in order to use Max Pass. Not sure how true that is, but it would be a way that Disney ensures that people are, in fact, inside a physical park when using Max Pass.

First of all, as for all the fine detaild of Maxpass, I don't think anyone really knows yet. But here's my guess. I don't think of the GCH as being "in" the park so much as right next to it. I don't think it will count unless they decide to give GCH guests a special perk. However, depending on what method they use to determine whether someone is physically in the park, some of the rooms might be close enough to trick the system. You would still most likely have to enter the park first to activate your pass for the day, but it's possible some people may be able to return to their rooms and still access the FP system. We'll have to wait and see.

Disney hasn't said enough about it. There may be additional features if you're onsite, we don't know yet.
