grand adventures in cooking? anyone?

Has anyone done the grand adventures in cooking at grand floridian? I'm thinking about signing up my 7 and 9 year old daughters. Trying to find something for my 12 year old daughter to do too! Suggestions, comments?

My girls have done it twice --- they had a great time!!! They get to make a chef's apron and hat to wear as they serve their creations. The apron is a "real" chef's apron and they decorate it with their hand prints so it makes a good keepsake --- we've even made it home twice with their hats (creative packing).

I don't know about your 12 year old --- maybe there is something at the spa like a manicure or pedicure you could do together. Or maybe just a couple of hours at the MK or a monorail resort tour without sibs would be fun for her.

dw4us, thank you...my girls will LOVE it! My husband will be at a conference, so I'll just do something special with my 12 year old at that time. Anything with Mommy and without siblings will be fun for her We'll do something "grown up" Thanks for your help!

The spa at the Grand Floridian has special facials and manicures for young girls. You could do that while the younger ones are cooking. My dd's (4 and 8) love all the Grand Floridian kids activities!

My two daughters LOVED it!. They were almost 6 and almost 9. They had a blast.

They are not cheap (but then this is Disney we are talking about). The facials are geared toward preteens. I checked into doing a glamour party for one of my dd's birthdays. I decided to save the experience for a mom and me day. You could also just have a big girls only shopping trip. The time passes really fast. We actually had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare with just us moms. It was wonderful, we got lots of attention from the characters and the food is great!
