Im usually over on the wedding side of the boards as we re getting married in WDW in May but for certain q's i always find it more helpful to get the advice of other uk Disney loving People:thumbsup2 . We re hoping to book the Grand 1 for the night of our wedding for a Wishes Cruise:goodvibes

I ve chatted with people on the wedding section about the Grand 1 but was just wondering if anyone over here has also hired it?
I ve been warned that it can be tricky to book which is worrying me slightly:scared: , for those of you who have booked this did you have any problems with booking this?
Has anyone managed to book it before the 90 day mark?
Did you request any food/drink on board?
Have you got any pics showing your cruise?

Thanks in advance everyone;)

We've hired the Grand 1 three times for Wishes Cruises. The first time was well inside the 90 day mark and we had the choice of 3 or 4 days still free over our two week trip. The second time was for a wedding, we had GF RPC Concierge on the case and I also left a request on the (now defunct) marina booking line. I don't know which worked best but we got the date. The third time I just called at 7am EST when the WDWPLAY line opened and got the ressie.

The booking is supposed to be a two hour slot for Wishes at $900 and we usually tip both crew members on top.

We have tried the cheese and fruit platters from GF private dining and always order a selection of wine, beer and soft drinks.

Have just checked with other people who ve taken a Wishes Cruise on the wedding side of the boards with regard to having to book Wishes for a 2 hour slot. Most have said they only booked the Grand 1 for an hour to see Wishes, this was our plan so am glad this wont be a problem. Just hope everything goes fine when it comes to booking this.
What exactly does "RPC" Concierge stand for & by any chance do you still have their contact details

GF RPC Concierge is the Club Level in the Grand Floridian Main building. It's called the Royal Palm Club. You can only use their itinerary planning service if you have a room reservation with them, sorry. They could now only try at 90 days out anyway now the Grand 1 is part of the WDWPLAY system. They had much more 'influence' when Grand 1 bookings were handled by staff at the GF.

if you want a hand trying to book it bec, i can try and call on the 90 day out for you, might work better if there's 2 people on it?
