Graduation Time

Due to too many people we are now doing our own graduation party.

In our area it is common to have graduation parties prior to graduation. They start just after Spring Break. Most of the kids go in to this together...for example 2 or 3 families might plan 1 party for the 3 kids. Then on graduation day there is some sort of celebration as well. The kids like going from party to party hanging out with friends.

The graduation is at 10:00. I am now in charge of what my family does. I think we will have about 30 family members and about 20 friends. Since I am now on my own I have not clue as what to do. I would like to do a dessert party, but we need lunch as well.

HELP!!! I need ideas. We leave the next morning for Disney.

We have done two parties for graduation in the last couple of years, one big one small, both were really fun. I think your last line says it all.....keep is as easy as you can!

1st party. DS HS graduation. Huge party; family, friends classmates etc. We had it at a family life center at our church and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Did lots of sides and had Nachos and decorated cake. Decorated tables, did pictures, slide show and party favors.

2ns party-DH graduate school graduation. Close Family and Friends in our back yard. Did Deli Sandwiches and I purchased all the stuff to assemble them. Pasta salad , chips and strawberries and cream and the same decorated cake only smaller.

We have been to bigger, smaller and everything in between. Clean up after the party may be a bigger factor than set up as you will want to be done before you leave for WDW. Party # 2 took longer to move chairs tables etc.
