Graduation Gift-- Help Me Choose Please!!

For one of my graduation gifts, my parents gave me the choice of taking the segway tour at Epcot or the Behind the Scenes Tour at Magic Kingdom. I am so confused on which one to pick. Has anyone been on one of these??

well.

the segway tour is at like...7am i think and you train for about an hour, then you get to go around the world showcase. basically its for taking beautiful pictures with no one to block your view. ive been in both the magic kingdom and epcot in the early morning, and it is just stunning. if you like photography, this would be something for you.

and the behind the scenes tour is good, especially if your favorite is the magic kingdom and getting to know all of those yummy disney facts. :] but i do believe you arent allowed to take pictures while backstage, so thats also something to think about.

i suppose it all depends on what youre really into.

whats your favorite park out of the two?

I would take the backstage because you see things that most people can't

I love both of them but I am afraid that the Magic Kingdom one will ruin all of the 'magic' for me.

I'd take the backstage tour.
I read a TR the other day which had spoilers for the keys to the kingdom tour, and it doesn't sound like it's really spoil the magic, they tell you just enough to satisfy some curiousity, without actually giving away toooo many Disney secrets!!

The segway tour would be really cool as well though!! But I'd definitle pick the backstage tour, because I am very curious as the what the utilidors look like!!

they dont show you too much magic. because well..that would just ruin it all.

but they do show you how the different striped colors on the wall let you know where you are (ie: red white and blue is liberty square, bright purple is tomorrow land, dark red is main street, fuschia is fantasyland, etc...) they also show you where some break rooms are, how people get to "wherever" so quickly, etc.

i dont want to blurb about how the utilidor looks so just in case someone wants to be "surprised" but they'll ask you what you think utilidor means, etc. oh, and i know they dont do tours at night, but they always play the radio in the tunnel and at night we slow down and love someone with delilah ;] (its...one of our...cm..jokes..anyway!)

really, its up to whatever you want to do. both tours are excellent and worth the money. :]

yeah of what i read from that lady's TR, they don't reveal TOO much, just enough.

I'd looove the do keys!!!


I would be waaaay too impatient to spend and hour learning how to ride a segway also! lol

I did the Segway tour on my last November Trip and it was SOOOOOO Much fun! Being in WS before it opened was waaay cool. Our guide took us in and around in a lot of the countries (except for the ones in front like Mexico, Norway, Canada, and England because those were accessible to the public). It's fun to ride around on the segways and there's a good picture opportunity with the Sphere in the background while you're on the Segway.

My favorite part was when we played follow the leader in Italy and our guide had us slalom through the columns by the perfume shop. That was cool. And they tell you some really neat facts about the buildings and such that are way cool to learn.

I'd personally do the Keys Tour. I'd much rather see backstage than ride around the WS in the early AM. I personally prefer waiting a while after Illuminations and all the crowds clear out. The WS at night, it's soo pretty and romantic at night, much better than in the AM, IMO.

But I'm biased. I don't like being up early and I'm scared of segways.
