I live in the uk so i dont know anything about grades and would just like to know what grade i would be in! I am 13 and wont be 14 till next July.

Can anybody help me?

Not where I live.
But it depends on when you're born.
Cos if you're born in from August to December you won't be turning the same age as everyone else at the same time.

That describes most people, but not me, I am one of FIVE juniors who is not yet 16. They never let me live that down.

I was 5 when I was in kindergarten, and turned 6 that June. Now I am in 11th grade, and will being turning 17 in June. So I believe her list is correct. (for most people, that is)

I have a late birthday, so thats my list. I'm a freshman and I just turned fifteen.

If you lived where I live, I'm pretty sure you'd be in 10th grade.
I was 14 as a freshie.

yeah. sunday was my birthday. The cutoff for kindergarten is like august 21st here. you have to be 5. I turned five in october. so I had to wait a year.

We have no cut off for school... you've just got to be born in the same year as everyone.

I don't really think there is a cut off date here.. basically if you're born that year, you're good to go.
Like, I have a couple friends who arn't turning 15 until December, but they're still in the same grade as me.

Thats really strange, im in year 13 at school, but that means year 12, so im thinking hey ive already done that year!

In the uk we can drop out after year 11 (the end of the year we turn 16, not that i did, im a good girl!), i dont get when you can drop out of the American school system as you would have no qualifications to fall on, at least in the uk you have GCSE's (country wide standardised tests in the subjects of ur choice, you have to do English, maths and science, then you go on to do ur A levels in year 12 and 13) but that happens to people who dont finish high school?

Also what years do you hit elementary, Junior high and High school? cause we only have Primary and Secondary schools.

Does it depend on the state?

ahh so many questions! (i want to live in America some day, so i want to know plus i get very confused watching American programs over here)
