Grad Nights

We are booked to go to WDW 27 April 07 to 11 May 07 and I think that Disney are holding some for grad nights on the two weekends during our stay.

Has anyone stayed at WDW during grad nights? Are the parks/hotels busier than normal? Is it best to avoid these dates or does it not really matter. We are staying one week at AKL and the second at Wilderness lodge.

We were there over Grad nights this year and it didn't make much if any difference other than MK closed early on the Friday and Saturday night and it affected the Spectromagic schedule a little bit. We actually went to MK on the weekend and the park was quieter than normal.

It's a great time of year to go weather wise and crowd wise. HAVE FUN!!!!

Yeah Grad night doesn't make much impact. Also just to note you'll be over in Disney for the Flower and Garden festival in EPCOT and possibly the first weekend of the Star Wars weekends in MGM (not sure of the dates for these yet) and these two parks do tend to get busy at the weekends due to these events. Other than that its one of the best times of the year in disney so enjoy

Many thanks. It would be good to see a star wars weekend if it is running as I am a bit of a fan.

We have only been once and that was this year in February. The Weather was nice but perhaps not warm enough for the water parks; early morning and evenings were a little chilly. Was hoping May would be a bit warmer but was disappointed to see that the parks are not open very late.
