Grad nights or Mother's day weekend?

We are planning a trip either May 3-7 (which will be during grad nights) or May 10-14 ( which will be over mother's day weekend). Will one be more crowded than the other?

Well, last year we were there over Mother's day weekend and the crowds weren't any larger than the rest of the week. Plus they had nice specials for mothers like the Mother's Day Brunch in Epcot. THIS year, however, we're going the first week in May, during Grad nights, and I'm just planning on staying away from the MK on those days.

My girls are 2 and 6 and want to spend most of our time in Magic kingdom. Do you know of anything special that they do there for mothers day weekend? It will also be our daughter's 3rd birthday. Just wanted to do something extra special for both. Thanks!

On Grad nights, they close MK early - 6 pm I think. so there is really no reason to stay away from MK during the day.

We saw more Grads outside of the parks then we did inside the parks.

they have the special events at MK and Pleasure Island.

They seem to be more supervised than the cheerleaders.

We were there 2005 during Grad nights....will never do it again. Parks weren't too bad but the hotel was awful (alot of late night noise). They put these kids in all 4 value resorts. Fortunately we got bumped up to CSR and had no trouble at all. So, that being said, I would suggest going during grad nights (keep in mind they are only on the weekends and the groups usually come in on Thursday and leave Sunday) instead of Mother's Day....unless you are staying at an All Stars or PC...then I would change my resort.

Just got the info yesterday on Grad Night. It's going to be at MK and AK.
