What difference does it make? You have me confused. Why does Grad night make a difference in where you stay?

normally when it is Grad Night, the teens are only there at night when the park is closed to the public. You cannot get in during Grad night it is a special event. Most of the schools in Fl do not get there until later. I cannot speak for those that come from out of state, but the majority are from in state. That was why you had me confused. The only thing that I can see getting in your way with Grad night is the time the parks would be closing due to Grad Night. They close early to the public so they can get ready for the special event. There are usually special events in City Walk and Disney property as well (Backyard BBQ and use to be Pleasure Island, not sure about now). I would not worry about parks & teens during the day.... also, the majority of the Fl schools do not stay in hotels, they have buses that bring them to & from.. I hope this helps you in your decision.....:goodvibes make your choice on where to stay by the time the parks are closing.. the parks will not be over-run by unruly teens. The Grad Night program has some very strict rules they must follow for the most part, there is even a dress code :goodvibes NO SHORTS.. and that blows my mind.
I don't have the link handy but if I come across it, I will post it for you.. or you can google it and read up on the program.

I want to add that the majority don't stay over night since it would be an expensive short weekend... and that cuts down many flying in from out of state. Schools are still in session. I know when my kids graduated, their Grad Night was on Sat night & school was on Monday (we are a Fl school). I'm not saying that it is only FL schools, all I am saying is that you will not be over-run by a bunch of seniors during the day. It isnt' like an end of school year trip. That is different & they usually happen the end of May start of June for schools.

don't gey me wrong i am not worried about "teenagers" i am one of those people who love to see young people enjoying themselves and having fun
i was just worried about the traffic on the roads and maybe it would be a little difficult to get a room
i have decided to go after this event anyway because its driving me crazy trying to decide
i am from England and am not used to all these events
many thanks for all your help
and thanks for the link
very helpful

I didn't think that of you...:goodvibes I just figured you would be worried about crowds of teens at the parks.. more kids, longer wait times.. that is all. :goodvibes If you were smart, you would go the begining of May.. that is when the weather is still bascially nice, less crowds.. since the schools aren't out yet.. and cheaper rates on hotels too..:thumbsup2 Good luck & have fun whenever you decide to go :goodvibes
