There are grad nights scheduled for April 25 & 26. Does anyone know where the kids will be staying? We are planning to spend the night of April 25 at All Stars, but I'm wondering if the kids will be spending the night there also. I also read somewhere that last year on grad night they saw bus after bus dropping the kids off at DTD. Does anyone know anything about this?

If it's the same way as when I attended grad nite (in the olden days) The kids spend the night at the park (magic kingdom after it closes) and leave from there to go home. They don't spend the night in a resort. It shouldn't affect the resort areas at all. :D

As nowellsl said, the majority of the kids come in by bus just for the evening. In recent years, some schools have started coming from further away and fly down and spend a few days. My guess is that you may find some of these groups at the All-Star hotels or offsite. With the ban on travel many schools have, there may not be that many long distance groups coming to Grad Nite.

All of these groups have requirements on behavior and chaperones. I don't think you should have a problem at the resort and I have never had any problem with the MK activities except that the park is closed in the late evening.

We were there in 1996 for grad night (yes, this was a long time ago), but it was a NIGHTMARE at Magic Kingdom. You could tell the kids were NOT with their parents (cutting in lines, pushing, running into people...yes, you get it). Unless things have changed, I believe the kids stay all night through the night, but they were there ALL DAY as well. At that same time there were numerous bands from schools across the country so I'm sure that added to the crowds AND it was Easter Vacation week. WERE WE NUTS?????? :) :) YIKES...

Thank God the weather was nice during that time. :) :)
