Graco Snugride vs. Britax Marathon

You can keep the car seat in the car seat bag straight through x-ray. It'll be pretty obvious what's inside once it passes through the x-ray machine. :D

I'm glad you aren't traveling with multiple car seats! I did that for a while (with "just me" again) and it is a logistical nightmare, even with "just two"! All I can say is thank goodness for curbside check-in!!! Make sure the 8 and 5 year-olds have their own bags to handle, too. "Off-loading" is good! :smooth:

Thanks everyone! We're on US Airways, an Airbus320 on the way down (row 22) and a Boeing 737-300 (row 15) on the way back. Still haven't totally decided on the Snugride or the Roundabout, but it is a good point that I should bring the seat that's easier to install. Thanks JennsBabySky! I am very quick at installing the Snugride (both on the plane and in the towncar, without the base) but installing the Roundabout might be harder. I can do it in my own car, but I think I might just waste time trying to get it tight and tethered in the towncar. My daughter hates her Snugride, always has, so it won't matter to her what seat I bring, so I guess it will come down to convenience in carrying and installation, which I've gotten some great tips about from you guys.

Oh, the reason I keep her int he Bjorn while we move through the airport is that she's so heavy to carry in that Snugride! It's ridiculous. After having flown several times with her by myself, (once without the Bjorn because I was waiting for the recall-repaired straps to come back) I have realized it is much easier to 'wear' her and carry the empty car seat (or push it in a stroller when I have one).
