Anyone have experience with either of these graco strollers? Our son will be 2 in August...I'm due November 3rd and we are going to Disney on December 23rd......Thanking you in advanced for any info you might have to share!:grouphug:

Congratulations on your upcoming arrival!!!

We had the duoglide when my girls were young and I loved it. Folded up, it didn't take much more room than my single stroller. It was easy to collapse with one hand (and a foot, if I recall correctly) which is incredibly important with 2 kids. Ours had stadium seating; the one in the back was a little higher than her sister, so both could see where they were going. I loved that it wasn't wider than a single stroller, so I could fit between the aisles in stores.

The only tricky thing was turning corners, but I suspect that's an issue with any double stroller.

Thanks! And Thanks for the info! I'm beginning to think I'm crazy for going so soon after the baby will be here but I figure the baby will be sleeping most of the time and my WHOLE family is going to be there...a total of 12 of us ....8 Adults...a 17 yr old, a two year old, a one year old and a newborn..

Why not go to Babies R Us or your local baby store and test drive some double stroller? Do your research first (I'm guessing you've already done that). Then consider putting some heavy things (like some gallons of Dreft or something) into the seats and see how easy it is to push, to turn and then to collapse one handed.

I like the adult bar better on the Quatro Tour, and I like that it folds in on itself, so it's all contained on the inside. The Duo folds more like an accordian, so the canopies stick out the top. It actually takes up more room, and I would think that the canopies would have more of a tendency to get damaged or dirty, but I don't know that for sure. The Duoglider is lighter though (and cheaper, which is always a plus). If you've got a store that has them nearby, I'd definatley go in and look at them. Push them around, fold them, play with them, and then decide.

We have the quatro tour duo and love it. We did a lot of comparing between the duoglide and the quatro tour duo and found the quatro tour duo to be the better buy for us. It folded up just a little smaller than the duoglide, had a taller seat in the front so that they could still rest their head on the seat when reclined, and also didn't have a bar on the front seat so that the child could get in and out on their own. It has seperate swiveling cup and snack holders on each side of the seat. It also had a couple extra storage areas, like under the front seat there is a little compartment that is accessable by the child in the front, and on the back of the front seat there are little compartments that are perfect for extra diapers, sippy cups, books, whatever. I also loved the handle bars and found it a little easier to push. If my ds gets fussy and I need to carry him for awhile, I put dd in the back seat and then it is much easier to push one handed. Not easy, but easier and doable. I also liked the look of the quatro tour better and have had many people ask me where I got it. Even people with the duoglide have told me they wished they had this one. I have the silver and black one, but I know it comes in many different colors. I'm not sure what baby stores you have near you, but we went to USA baby and compared the two side by side. I would recommend doing that if you can.

Thanks I've got to try and talk DBF into going to BRU thats the closest store that carries both models....unfortunately the closest BRU is at least an hour away :-(

Oh yea, and I forgot to mention that it is super easy to fold one handed. It is heavy, but hey...just think, your getting a workout everytime you take it in or out of the car. :lmao: Plus, how often do you really take it in and out of the car.

LOL not very often we usually just leave it in the back of the van...and besides thats "daddy's" job LOL:rotfl:

Um ... neither. IMO, Gracos of any stripe are seriously cr@ppy for travel use. Really bulky fold, and those steel frames are so heavy.

Take a look at the twins from Maclaren, Peg Perego and Chicco. MUCH better made strollers, lighter, and they fold much smaller for travel.

We used ours in Disney and it was fine. We really liked having the extra storage areas. Just make sure you have it folded up before the bus comes and have whoever is carrying it stand in either the front or back door and you'll be fine. The driver will happily open the back door if you ask him to. Our kids took great naps in it too while we were there.

DId you consider a sit and stand by Baby Trend? We bought ours at Target a few months ago for 129.00. It can hold your infant carrier as well as your 2 yo. As they get older, you can remove the back seat and you'll have a place for the older child to stand or sit, while the other sits in the front seat. We like ours a lot!

I have the Quattro Tour Duo and I love it! It is really easy to turn and I "test drove" a lot at the store! If you are looking into a Sit n Stand I'd suggest the Joovy over the Baby Trend, it folds up smaller and it turns a lot easier.

The nice thing about the Baby Trend sit and stand is that it begins as 2 seats and the back seat can be removed so it is 2 strollers in 1. It does not get as compact as I prefer, but I do like the choice of 2 seats or 1.

I have a Graco Quttro Duo that I use at home. Here are my thoughts.
Pros: Smaller fold - I drive a chevy and this was the only double that would fit into my trunk
Very easy fold
Excellent storage basket
Excellent parent/kid storage - cup holders, etc
Nice to manuver
Older kid can climb in by themself

Cons:
VERY heavy - to lift and push. It takes a ton of oomph to get it going
Storage for kid in front not very accessible - under seat

I loved this stroller when DD was in an infant carrier, but now that she is 20 lbs and DS is 31 lbs, it is just getting too heavy to push. Now the DS is 3 and is able to do more on his own, I just got a Joovy Sit & Stand and am enjoying that. But at age 2, he wasn't ready for that. Also sit & stand doesn't have a comforatble seat that DS can relax in.

Whichever double you choose, I'd recommend finding one used on Craigslist or something. That way you're not paying full price and can use it for the time you need it.

For Disney, would 2 umbrella type strollers be an option for you? I still love my Chicco C5 for it's comfort, height of handles and weight and size. It has no cupholders and small storage basket.

FWIW- There's a dining review by a mom with 2 little ones who took their Quattro Duo. I asked for her review on the stroller at Disney, she said it was a nightmare. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1850296&page=2

I know it's different for everyone, but again we had no problems with it when we took it. Then again, that is what we are used to using. We do use a Mac Quest for ds when we are going somewhere where dd can walk, but we always use the quatro duo at the malls. At Disney our kids took great naps in it, we had pleanty of storage, and it just overall worked great for us. My kids are smaller though. My dd is 25lbs, and my ds is 16 lbs, so maybe that is the difference. :confused3 As mentioned earlier I don't really find it all that heavy to push. When dd is in the back seat I can even push it one handed. We did use the busses and found it was easiest just to keep it near the doors. That way we didn't have to try lugging it down the isle, and it was out of everyones way.

Our Graco Duoglider (I think) will celebrate its 7th birthday next month. It has been sitting in our garage since our last Disney trip, but it is usable. It has been to Disney four times (with an airplane ride), Hershey Park once, and countless musuem trips, malls, etc. Anyway, it has held up well.

We did the exact same thing the above post does. My DH waited by the back doors and I told the bus driver to open the back door. You do not need to walk it through the bus. When you go on the monorail or a boat, you can just stroll it on.

I think it is heavier than other brands which seven years ago I had never heard their names, but I am not super strong and handled it fine.

Thanks everyone for your imput I'm still so confused on which to get LOL but all of your info definately helped! Planning a trip to Babies R us (like an hour away UGH) to test drive a few...I'm also wondering if I have the baby in his (or her) car seat in the back will the seat in the front be able to recline at all??? Who knew picking a stroller could be so difficult LOL

I think my Graco is a Quatro. That's what we're taking. Our ds will be 3 & it reclines & manuvers easily. Dh will be the one lugging it around.
