Well, last we left off we had just eaten dinner at the Garden Grill, which we loved and would most definately do again! The quality of food was excellent and the interaction with the characters top notch. Then you add the fact that it rotates with changing environments and what more could you ask for really? So, we are standing outside the Land and wondering what to do next. Our original plan was to go to MK for rides and Wishes. We really didn't spend much time at MK this trip, which was a big surprise to us. It was just too hot and crowded and the kids didn't seem to care one way or the other if we left each time. So, next trip the the baby will be 2 years and 3 months so we will make sure to have more MK time then. Anyway, we all decided that we didn't think any of us had the energy to trek to MK now, so back to CBR we went. We said goodbye to Epcot and all parks as we got on the bus, but surprisingly were not sad as I think we were all parked out.
I think just by looking at us you could tell we had been there for 8 wonderful days
. So, we swam, used the arcade, shopped and had yummy drinks by the pool until we decided to lay down for our last WDW sleep. Of course, I was busy packing so we could enjoy as much of our last day as possible.
The next morning we checked the room multiple times, got into our bathing suits, packed a bag for the day and headed to the pool. Unfortunately, we did not make plans with Bell services to take our luggage so the men had to hike the luggage back to Customs House themselves. Even DS8 was included in this. The girls and I found a table by the seperated hot tub (where no one ever was) and set up our carryons, stroller, carseat and souvenier bags and enjoyed our last few hours in the pool. When the men returned they were hot, but said that the walk back was not too bad. Magical Express was set to pick us up at 4:00pm at Customs House. While we enjoyed the pool and resort I took a few more pictures of the beautiful CBR.
My brother was the most depressed over leaving stating he was going to live in the bushes at CBR and come home when we picked him up on our next trip. Here he is near the bushes of choice with his refillable mug.
He worked hard for that smile. I went to the gift shop and bought myself some scrapbooking paper, stickers and embellishments. I am so surprised at the lack of scrapbooking stuff at WDW. You think they would have amazing scrapping materials all over the place
. Anyway, I really wanted to have something from WDW I could use while doing this scrapbook so I ended up with a paper/sticker kit, princess and Mickey Pal stickers and some buttons. At 3:15 we all got changed and said goodbye to the pool. We made it to Customs House in plenty of time and waited in the AC for about 15 minutes for ME to come. I will say I was a little unhappy with the ME for the ride home. The bus was packed and we all had to be seperated and DH and I had to have the girls on our laps! It didn't help that we had some very unfriendly and apparently unhappy people on the bus who wouldn't even move over to let us sit next to them in the only empty seats.
I had to loudly tell my DS to move pass a gentleman to sit with him and he did move his knees so he could get by and then I had to say the same thing to a lady to sit next to her with my sleeping baby. Just don't get it. Did they think we were going to sit on the floor? Who knows? Maybe they were sitting on ME for awhile and had had enough? I tried not to let it ruin our amazing trip. We finally made it to the airport and of course were the 2nd stop, but at least the baby slept the whole way. Pixie dust was with us again.
We made it home with no other issues. My kids were awesome on the plane. The baby was laughing or giggling the whole time. The grandmother whose grandkids were running all over the plane made a comment to her daughter that her kids should be more like mine. I wanted to hide my head in the barf bag b/c I am sure that mother wanted to stab me with a trading pin at that moment. This was after that grandmother said to her grandkids that the pilot was going to kick them off the plane (we were flying then).
Well, we were blessed with our 2nd magical, perfect WDW vaction and remind ourselves and our children all the time how lucky we are to be going to such a magical place when there are people all over the world who will never enjoy such happiness. Thanks for reading and may Pixie Dust forever be with you and yours!
Stay tuned to for my Pre-Trip Report for our November AKL trip. Can I make my mother happy in WDW for 6 days or will she want to disown me when we return? I am curious what the answer will be to that question!
