My daughter is heading to DL around Christmas time. (maybe she'll invite dear old Dad)
She's wondering what is included in the 'grab and go' thingy and if the fast-pass and seating are worth it?

I don't have the exact menu on hand but it is I believe lasagna and salad and another option. I haven't heard anything terrible about the food, but I haven't heard anything great either. The fast pass that you get is the same that you would get from the machine, so there really isn't any seating benefit.

The Fantasmic! On-the-Go Package at Aladdin's Oasis has been getting mixed reviews in terms of the viewing. Unlike the BB/RBT dining packages, which have a dedicated viewing area, the On-the-Go package folks get a regular FP (just like the one you pull from the FP machines near Big Thunder). I don't know if this is still the case, but early reports indicated that guests were given a Blue FP with their meals. Basically, it means you know you'll get a FP for the show and you don't have to worry about whether they'll run out or not. Otherwise, there is no advantage to the meal package from a viewing area stand-point.

Here is the menu from when the packages first debuted in December: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/fantasmic-dining-packages/

We did it in June. We were trying to see Paint the Night, Disneyland Forever and Fantasmic on the same night. I decided to make my reservation for Aladdin's to insure I could get the later showing of Fantasmic. Dh held our seat for the parade while I picked up dinner. It was quick and easy. I told him I had a reservation, I picked our food and he asked which showing of Fantasmic I wanted (I don't know if that's common or not). I then waited inside Aladdin's Oasis (which was nice and quiet and pretty) and they brought my food bagged and boxed to go. We both ordered the chicken. It was better than I expected, honestly. We ate at our seats for Paint the Night.

It was a little confusing as to where to get in for our FP, but we ended up in a pretty good spot that was pretty empty, so I was happy. It worked for what we needed it to.

Thanks for this report. I think it's a good option for doing a "trifecta" in one night. :)
