Gps

I've been planning to get a Garmin Nuvi 350 (for $350, free shipping, no tax at Amazon) but was holding off to see if there were any BF sales. Today I found that the Nuvi 650 was on sale at Costco for $299! Even with $9.95 for shipping and tax it's still cheaper than I was planning to pay. The 2 models are identical except the 650 is a larger screen...so I went for it! It's online at costco.com only and you can purchase even if you're not a member. (Even if you pay the 5% surcharge for non-member it's still cheaper than the 350 at Amazon.)

AND...got online right at 10am for Kid Rock tickets at the casino for my husband...got FLOOR aisle seats for his b-day that's 2 days after Christmas...concert is in January...he's going to be thrilled!!! :cool1:

Bass Pro also has the Nuvi 350 on sale for $299

The 350 has a smaller screen and weighs less.

We just got orders to Germany in March. I bought DH the TOMTOM 910 - Refurbished with both European/USA Maps. I got if off Amazon. We are shipping one vehicle over and I heard the Autobahn and streets are very hard to understand so hopefully this will help!

Thanks for the heads up!! This one is perfect for us!!

This thread has been super helpful! I want to get a GPS for DH for Christmas. Do any of you use one that is bluetooth enabled? DH would love using his as a handsfree phone.

The 350 does not have bluetooth. That wasn't a concern for me because I just use my cell phone.

Didn't make sense for me to spend an extra $100 for the bluetooth on GPS when it's already included on my cell.

I have the Nuvi 360 with bluetooth. It's a great feature to have because the incoming calls show up on the nuvi screen and you can answer simply by touching the screen, rather than having to dig out your cell phone and answer it. You can still see the map while on calls, too. Speaker is great for the car. The nice thing is you don't have to keep track of (and charge) a separate earpiece. You don't need to take time out to connect and pair the phone with the nuvi each time. Your phone and nuvi simply 'know' when they are near one another and work accordingly.

Most states have (or will have) legislation in place to require drivers to use hands-free devices in cars. Makes a lot of sense.

Several Nuvis have the bluetooth feature. Definitely worth getting!
