I know we have people here impacted by the gov’t shutdown. DoC has put together an active list of the different ways companies are offering assistance: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/furl...kers-resource-page-financial-food-other-help/

The list varies from financial institutions to food assistance to entertainment. I don’t have anything to add to that list right now, but I wanted to get this out in case anyone here needs it.

Those in Indiana can get free admission to the Children's Museum, Zoo, and Conner Prairie with a state ID and proof of federal employment (like a pay stub or federal ID).

I will check around our area to see if I find any freebies/deals for those who are impacted by the shut down. One thing I would say for sure is I hope that they have filed for the unemployment which they are entitled to receive!

Hopefully federal workers research prior to filing for unemployment. Some can file and some cannot. It can even vary by state. And those who receive unemployment and then get back pay will have to pay back their unemployment. Paying it back beats not putting food on the table but it is something anyone considering this must be aware of. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/17/shu...ke-unemployment-benefits-must-repay-them.html

Some states unemployment is really bad. Take Florida for instance only 275 max a week. Than there’s states that is worst than that. New Jersey isn’t bad 681 max per week.some other states are better than that. Deleware which of course borders New Jersey only 330 a week. But whatever you are at anything is better than Nothing. But of course you will have to pay it back.
