Are their any special discount rates for government employees?

There used to be discount rates on park tickets but I haven't seen anything for quite a while. The only discouns I think I've seen mentioned are for police officers and military.

My dh used to work for the government and we did receive a discount on tickets--but that was in the late 90's and was offered by the onsite travel agent. I'd ask the hr person and see what they suggest.

The Swan & Dolphin offer goverment discounts. You can stay at Shades of Green if you work for the Pentagon

Is the police discount still around? Was/is it on the park tickets? Anyone know how to get it?

Federal employees employed anywhere by DOD, or working on a military installation are eligible to stay at Shades of Green. Awesome place! Large, beautiful rooms and great rates! The pools aren't great - right across from Poly, so you can get the monorail there.

You can get 10% military discount for park passes. I'm not sure about Fed employees. My DH is full time Air Guard - federal employee with military ID.

I'm sorry what is DOD? Any federal employee can stay at shades of green?
i work for the state of Illinois but i thought it was just for military can someone confirm who can use shades of green

DOD is Department of Defense

If you go to www.shadesofgreen.org once you enter the site look under eligibility to see if you can stay there.
