This is going to sound strange but that REALLY brings back memories. My Grandparents had a soft toilet seat and when we were little we thought that was just the ultimate .

That's the kind Mom buys. Especially good for those "extra-long visits". But they don't last as long as the hard kind does.

My grandma also buys the soft ones!! My sister always hated them...because every once in awhile the vinyl would crack and she swore up and down that it pinched her butt everytime she sat on it!!

Oddly enough, she seemed to be the only one in the family with that issue!

The vinyl totally cracks and pinches your butt! Also, if you sit for more than a minute, when you get up, it sticks to your legs and butt. Yuck!

I got a new one for the upstairs bathroom. It slowly closes. It will not accidently slam down. I was so impressed when I installed it, I had to watch it over & over as the lid and seat slowly went down. I know, I have to get a life!

we got a whole NEW toilet last weekend. i was beyond thrilled we could go downstairs again. sadly it's not a soft seat.

and yes, they do pinch!

I must be in the minority, I don't like the soft ones, they do crack and pinch you. I don't like sticking to the seat either, ewww.
