Ok...DD 9 princess: has her little heart set on meeting :lovestruc Capt. Jack. pirate: She's quite obsessed with it. Oh sure, she's excited about everything else too, (except for her little sister's :cutie: meet-n-greet with the Little Einsteins). For some reason, unbeknownst to me, this particular ADR @ Hollywood & Vine is causing my first born much embarressment. :rotfl:

Anyway, I digress... about the good Captain. How can I get the little princess: a meet & greet with her swashbuckling hero? (hey, I'll admit, I would fancy a meet & greet with Jack myself) Shhhh....don't tell the hubby...

Do we have to do the P&PP party for this to happen? Does he still do the show in front of the Pirates of the Carribean ride? If so, what time is that? etc? Hey... I'm not above stalking him. The princess: needs to meet this guy! :yay:

We did the meet n greet with Jack in Adventureland on our last trip, and it was just during regular operating hours. He was in the old Verandah restaurant near the entrance of AL. The queue line was wrapping around through the old dining room, and then you exited out onto a patio and there he was. Got some great photos of the kids with Jack. I think sign outside the door showed he was there in 3 or 4 different time periods (about an hour each). Hopefully you'll find him. :)

Hey, there's nothing wrong with meeting Jack yourself...WDW is a place of fantasy, fun and where dreams come true! Not just for your DD, but for you as well! Check your dates of travel to see if there's a P&P party and do that as well...you'll double your visits with the good captain. Get to him as your first priority when the party begins and the line is shorter. As the other posts states his location, for the party he's in the same spot, but Advantureland is renamed New Tortuga for the party. (Where else would you look to find Jack Sparrow?pirate: ) I met him last August at the P&P right in the begining and believe me, I was floating on air for the rest of the night! :dance3: Enjoy!!

We also got meet my beloved Capt. Jack during P&PP last August. :lovestruc
My friend Mike (it was he and his DW first trip to WDW) said that was one of the highlights of the trip for them. He and my DH said " Cost of going to WDW...$4K, cost of P&PP party tickets for 4 $160, Seeing me with Jack, priceless" :rotfl2:
I'm taking my BFF this August (girls trip  ) so I'm glad to know that we can still see Jack. It's her first trip to WDW and she said she doesn't care what we do all week as long as she gets to meet Jack!

My DH is really hoping we see Captain Jack at the P&PP on Friday. Wahoo!!!

That's where we saw him as well past September. The boys were in awe...

WE were just there in Dec and they did the show outside the ride and then he did some photos/autographs.
It was in the early afternoon between 12-2.

Good luck!

:welcome: to the boards MrsDopey!!

now as for the Capt'- we saw him outside of POTC for his pirate tutorial--times will be on your time sheet w/ the MK map. Perhaps if you can get to the front by the rope-DD might be picked to be Jack's honorary pirate (DS5 was picked & it was very cool). He didn't stick around for photos or autographs, as he had to leave quickly 'for a land none too dry':rotfl:
We saw him @ P&PP- got pics & autographs. We lined up 1st thing- we were probably in line 'bout 10 min to 7 (party starts @ 7p) & it was already a pretty good sized line, so get in line (over the bridge into Adventure Land) ASAP! Good Luck!!! SWOON :rotfl2:

My dd's only request also! And POTC will be closed while we're there (bummer!)...... If she can just SEE him at the pirate tutorial, maybe that will have to do.... no P&PP while we're there either...... I"m so hoping we can just see him once!

I'm so jealous of the people who met Captain Jack during regular hours! That was my goal this past March when we went. We went to the Pirate Tutorial, but everyone who asked for photos was told no, and then C.Jack took off running at the end so there were no photos taken.

I thought with having no kids that the P&PP would be too young for us, so we didn't do it. I thought that was the only way to meet him! 'll have to keep my eye out for him again this summer!

Thank you everyone :grouphug: for your tips on meeting the good Capt. :flower3: Can't wait to get there... pirate: This is all for my daughter of course... :rotfl2:

LadyJane, If you will have your dd dress as a pirate the day you go to MK, and get there early for the pirate tutorial, it will increase her chances of getting to participate. My dd10 has done it twice now, both times dressed as Elizabeth Swann in her POTC2 pirate guise.

This past Dec. was especially fabulous, as Capt. Jack made a very big deal of her. He saved her for the last swordfight, with himself instead of Mac the assistant. He said, "Hellooooo, Ms. Swann. I don't know if I should give you this sword, it didn't work out so well for me last time." And just went on and on like that. DD was in heaven.

Good luck for your pirate princess!

I completely agree with Kristilew! Get there early and dress up. If you get their early enough you will most likely see a cast member or two checking on the equipment and such. When I was there last August, the cast member came to talk to me. (I had on a Pirates dress my best friend made for me. I was also carrying a custom made Jack Sparrow Ball Joint Doll.) She asked me if I would be staying for the Pirate tutorial and I said yes. She said good, and told me to stand near the front. Captain Jack made a big to do about me and Lil' Jack. It was fantastic!!! I got most of it on Video (once again wonderful friends) and I got lots of pictures as well! It was a great experience! So dress up, get there early, and keep your fingers crossed! Sending some pixie dust your way! :wizard:

:worship: Thank you all! This is great advice. We're so ready!!! pirate: I will be sure we let you all know how it turns out! :yay:

We also saw the pirate tutorial but were not allowed to actually take pics with Jack. However, the tutorial is really funny. I did notice that a group of women waited around after the tutorial (with the Dream team people) and apparently got some kind of special meet & greet with Jack after the crowd had left.
