Yes, DD, DGS, and I wore purple shirts today -- and our "Be a Friend - Not a Bully" buttons (homemade -- white letters on purple background). There was quite a bit of purple around Asheville today (where the gay parade in the President's movie with Jack Lennon and James Garner was filmed many years ago). DD changed her Facebook avatar to a purple block for today (link below).

That's what we donned yesterday. Thank goodness for American Apparel's color selection in undies.

My nieces and nephews also wore purple to their high schools yesterday, too.

Same here. Wore it Wednesday and was disheartened a bit to see so few with it on.

Was happy to see a headline on AOL that asked, "Why all the purple today?" though.

Yeah same here, except for one other woman I saw, but chances are she wasn't wearing it for that reason.

(Gotta say that my maternity wardrobe is still seriously limited...I think I was wearing a periwinkle sweater that day which is the closest I can get to purple at the moment, so, I guess I sort of did the best I could even without knowing about it.)

Hmmn...this is the first I heard of it. Weird. I wonder if it even hit the awareness of the student groups who normally organize around me.

Thanks for the good wishes. I really could use a regularly hooked up doppler though unless this baby gets some strong leg work in soon. I try to stay confident, but, it's hard not to stress.

honestly it didn't seem to be a major thing up north here -- definitely the wearing pink against bullying is a much bigger event in Canada.
