Got your dialing fingers ready this morning???

I'm also still on hold, since 7:05. Is this normal? I assume I shouldn't hang up and try again?

No - don't hang up! I was on right at 7 also, waited until about 7:45, got a great CM and got the deal!:dance3:

POR, 5 night/6 day, MYW 6-day base tickets, including dining for family of 5 for $1,932.72.

I love the DIS :worship:

I finally got through.

Not enough of a savings for me to make the change.

2 Adults
Four Nights at the Yacht Club (standard room)
Four Day Park Hoppers (no Water)
Basic Dining Plan

$2154 current price

Offer with Free Dining - $2012 - for a difference of $142.

Bottom line - Free Dining, but no room discount.

GA Resident Discounted Room Rate at CR Garden Wing Standard View 12/14 to 12/19
$1181.25 or $236.25/night or $210/night before tax

DDP cost per person per day
$37.99 + tax = $40.46 X 2 = $80.92 x 5 = $404.60

Cost of a 1 day MYW Ticket per person
$79.88 with tax x 2 = $159.76

Total cost of current room discount with package extras added: $1745.61

Disney Visa FD Package Total: $1672.34

So, we saved another $73.27 take out the 12.5% tax and that's $64.11, which means the room rate dropped another $12.82 to $198 a night! That's about 26% off of the rack rate of $270 a night.

Just got off the phone. No luck. I knew it was a long shot. While our dates were in the correct time frame, our room wasn't available. We are a family of 6, and want to stay at WL- deluxe room. The CM was extremely helpful, and knew all about the code. I didn't even have to give it to her. She looked to see if any rooms at WL were avail.- no. She said the only thing she found avail were 2 rooms at CB. She also was looking for any other deluxes, such as AKL- no rooms avail. So no luck for me- :sad2: . But... only 3 weeks to go till were there:cool1:

They don't have the values blocked. I am staying at POP and I got the free dining and a room discount! :rotfl:

So did I.....and I wasn't on hold, guess I timed it right....of course dialing in, hanging up and dialing again and again and again until they answered probably helped, lol.

I got POP, and if the lady is right, I got the free dining through 11/25.....I asked so many times she started getting mad at me, "Yes, I said 9 TS, 9 CS and 9 snacks, all free". I'm waiting now for the email confirmation to be sure, but if so, I'm definitely :cloud9: .

ETA: Oh yeah, and either my dining CM was a miracle worker, OR they have opened up some dining reservations....I was able to book Le Cellier and had a choice of 3 different days with times in the 4-6pm range.....booked CRT on the first day I asked about (lunch); and got a 6:10pm California Grill reservation. Got a LIberty Tree Tavern dinner, but not thrilled with the time, 7:50pm, but at least I got it, lol. Got some others too, but those are the ones that I believe were the "hard to get". I've tried for a Le Cellier dinner every couple days for weeks now....have a lunch but really wanted dinner.

And here I thought with the free dining that it would be impossible to get anything good!

Did she try the deluxe concierge rooms at BWI? I've stayed there 2X & have received a discount in the past but none has ever been available for the WL deluxe rooms.

Okay, just wanted to say, also posted this in the other disney fd thread also, so if it seems you've read it already, you probably did, lol!:goodvibes

On hold and then finished from 6.12 - 7.07, girl was very sweet and helpful!!
Okay, I had cbr on nov 14 * 23 before, with gp discount, no dining, 9 day tickets, no hopper or water, for 2 adult was 1613.00. Now, adding the "free dining", all a matter of how you look at it i guess, my total with everything else remaining the same, is 2120.00, so about 500.00 increase, so that's pretty good I guess. Oh, and I don't think there was discount on the room, she said she hadn't heard there was any discount on the room portion at all. Hmmm.
Without my original discount and dining, it would have been about 2950. Or, if I would have kept my gp code, and added dining for 9 days, it would have been about 2300, so I got our dining by adding about 500 today to what we already owe for our had so that's not bad at all. I figured we'd probably spend somewhat more than that for our food, so we got a deal, need to figure more exactly, later after i'm more awake!

Btw, what does anyone think is an average amount for two adults, 50 and 18 yrs, to spend on food for 9 days? Also, if i had 10 days of tickets, for that last day we are there til about 4.30, would I have gotten dining for that last day also? Like are the days of food by the days of tickets you get, or by the nights you sleep over? Hopefully this all makes some sense, it's toooo early, up late with only a couple hours sleep, so i'll go do that now!

I was only on hold about 4 minutes! And mine extended through Dec. 22nd, even though the promotion date says through Dec. 20th. Works for me!
You can log on to DisneyWorld.com, my vacation, type in your reservation # and phone # and see that the reservation has been updated.

I lucked out his morning since I must have been one of the first callers at 7:00 AM. I was planning on being on hold for an hour like I ususally am when Free Dining is offered. I had everything done by 7:30 - room and dining reservations. I was able to get All Star Music from December 17 - 22 for about $902 or $904 for 2 adults and 2 kids ages 14 and 12. I priced it out last night and it was about $970 online, so I think this included a room discount. I am so excited since I was not planning on doing the dining this trip! I wonder if Disney is hurting if they are offering the Free Dining during these timeframes.

I was able to get through and they had what I was looking for, my mom gave me a price range though and we did not make it within it. I will have to talk to her before booking. check in 11/22 2adults 1 child 8dayMYW base ASSp and dinning 1468. For some reason this is $20 total less than booking online without dinning.:confused3

as minniekins did, i already posted this in another thread, but i'll share here too. :) i got up about 7am and called and was on hold for no more than 2 minutes. we had originally taken advantage of a PIN code in august, to book POP from 12/14-12/21 with tickets for about $856. after speaking to the gentleman, he quotes us $1116 for room, tickets, and dining! we took the deal. we probably would have spent at least that much out of pocket for food, but this way we get to try out much more, which makes my wife happy.

DisneyMomJen,
Did you just purchase a one day base ticket for the $904 price?

I think I may have an idea what is happening with the room discount. It looks like our room was discounted for the night that fell within the offer. Although the free DP continued the room discount did not. Now that nights are charged individually the computer can do that. It looks similar on what I see some of the others are posting. So if my whole ressie fell in the offered dates it might be a greater discount. This is only a guess.

Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah.....just got my emailed confirmation and it says 9 nights and then it lists all these extras and then it says lists Table Service 1 per night per person....then CS, 1 per night per person, and snacks, 1 per night per person.....so we got it for all 9 nights of our stay. So the lady was right in what she gave me, but honestly.....the offer says it's only valid through 11/22 and we got it through 11/25, so I think she made an error, but I got it in writing now, lol.

My requested days (December 14 - 18th) were all within the "window" and my quote at the Yacht Club was rack rate, with free dining. They did not offer any room discount for those dates.

I didn't change my current reservation because it wasn't worth it.

Well at least for the values I think my above theory may be correct. I tried to schedule with all the days within the offer and It was more discounted, about $20 a night the whole time. Now I have to talk to my mom.

She didn't make an error - you just have to check in before the last date listed, and you get it through the rest of your trip. That's how mine worked out too! :cool1:

Ours as well. We check in on November 22nd, and we got the deal. We saved $1700 off our original price ($900 off the last code rate) for our 2 rooms. We were already paid in full, so we now have $900 onour KTTW to cover tips and souvneers. He said he could request an adjustment to the CC, but we already requested the points on a rewards card and I don't want to mess that up so we left it as is and the money will be waiting for us on our room. That is fine with us as we will spend that much for sure.
