got visa, what do you do next?

I believe the date was 3/31. However, when I spoke with the Bank One rep, he wouldn't confirm a date. For some reason he told me he was uable to tell me the date.

I wouldn't count on it, but it's worth a shot.

Was what the Disney Visa CSR told me when I called to verify I could get the deal...

I'm a current DV cardholder. When I read all of the threads about the 7-for-4 deal, we applied for a new one in DH's name. Just got it today! Just wondering what everyone thinks about room-only rates to come. We're planning on Sept. 25-Oct. 2. When I called to book our room-only rate, I voiced my disappointment in the 7-for-4 not being offered to current cardholders. CM said that something as good would be coming along. If I book the 7-for-4 deal & something better comes along, would I be able to cancel? I guess that all depends on if I'm within the 45 day cancellation.

Anyone been in late Sept. before? Because of hurricane season, I'm just wondering if I'm better off with a room-only rate so I can cancel 5 days in advance without losing any $. We're driving so we couldn't be losing $ on plane tickets.

Thanks!

As fas as hurricanes...it's hit or miss. I've had 1 ruin a vacation out of about 10 sept trips...but that still doesn't stop me.

If you can get the 7/4 deal, I'd take it. It's the best offer I've ever seen.

Even if you cancel, the most you would lose is 100 bucks.

I already had a Disney Visa. Applied for another (around 3/20) to take advantage of package. Saw from checking my bank card accounts on intranet that they had approved my new card (within 2 days), but I obviously could not read card number, only the last 4 digits.

Thinking the card's arrival was imminent, I called Disney, got pricing and availability (6/18 - 6/25 range) for POFQ or CSR, WL or AKL and everything I wanted was available, but I needed to have the physical card in hand to read the card number to them, so we could not complete the deal. She said the first six digits of the card would be the indicator of whether the person qualified for the 7/4 deal. I know I already qualify, they told me the first time I called, I just have to have the physical card.

Called again the following week. All the deals I wanted were no longer available. Check on availability for some Plan Bs. Called Visa to ask what the hold up was. Was told they mailed it 3/29. I still do not have the card, and another week later, I suspect my Plan Bs have dissipated into Plan Z or something I won't want. So it goes. Didn't think to have the card expressed to me. Good tip!!

Side note: Although Checking into the CSR (2 queen beds) 6/20-6/27 (7 nights) on this plan was NOT available, 6/18 - 6/27 was (9 nights) - go figure!

I was checking my original Disney Visa balance, using the online tools on the firstusa site and noticed that the second card displayed.

Mag,

You can call 1-877-252-6576 and select option 2.

It took 3 days for me.

As I said before, I got my new card last night. I activated the card and called to see if we qualified. We did!!!! I never got the mailing. Thanks to everyone on this board for letting everyone know about this deal! So, we're off to FW cabins for 7 nights ... Sept. 25-Oct. 2. SWEET!!! There's no way we would have gone for 7 nights if such a deal hadn't come along. I can't wait!!! Boy, is 5 months a long way off.
