Got Visa room-only deal!

I guess I have a question - I have a couple different Disney credit card offers - one I got in the mail and their other I picked up at our Disney resort last month and I also checked out Bank's One's website and I can't find anything with info on the 7 for 4. My offer states a free Lilo and Stitch DVD. If I were to qualify, is this deal automatic if I apply in March for their Visa? And if we were tenatively considering a December trip, is this too far off for the deal? And I am assuming you can't combine any other deals with this? Like an AP or AAA discount? TIA. :D

I RECEIVED THE DISNEY VISA 7 FOR 4 NIGHT CODE. I SAVED OVER $1800. I BOOKED THE CONTEMPORARY TOWER CONCIERGE PLUS 4 UPH. GREAT DEAL!!!!!

Not everyone qualifies for the 7 for 4 deal. Call back Disney, tell them you are interested, they will put you on hold while they call Bank One to see if you qualify.::MinnieMo

Did you have to have a code when you called or did they simply recognize the discount because you were a new Disney card holder?

Also, did you call Disney CRO?

Yes, I called Disney CRO. I told them I was interested in the 7 for 4 offer. I gave them my Visa number and she called Bank One.

A travel date of December is too late. 10/31 is when the 7 for 4 deal runs through. You cannot combine offers either. If you apply in March you should qualify according to what Bank One said.

It is my belief that if you applied in February up to a certain time in March (the exact date I'm not sure on) you are eligible for this discount. I'm sorry, I don't know how far out this goes, December may be too far away. I actually did combine my stay with another Disney Visa discount being offered (the room only code CTV) because I'm going to be there 8 nights, so yes you can use codes on the other nights if you're staying longer than just the 7.

It's definitely worth a call to Visa~saves you mucho $$$.

I'll be going in May and staying at the WL (woods view) using a AAA discount. I ordered my DV last week and am sure it'll arrive soon. However, I'll only be staying six nights. Does anybody know if there's a discount code I could use irrespective of the number of nights or should I just look at using the 7 for 4 and assume I'll get a better deal than the AAA rate. Thanks.

Dan

CTV is a room only code you could use with the Disney Visa if you are only staying 6 nights.

I did the same thing with using the room only for an additional night since we are staying 8 nights.

But, you can't combine discounts and codes for the same nights. I wish we could though;)

Right~sorry If that wasn't clear~NO, you can't combine one discount on top of another, only different reservations. ;)

I am wanting to stay at WL in a deluxe/Jr. Suite but was told by a travel agent that the discount does not apply to these rooms.

Also she mentioned nothing about the 7/4 deal, only a basic discount for having the card.

We are limited in where to stay because of having 5 people. The junior suites seemed like they would be the best bet.

Its difficult to find something for a family of 5. WDW really caters to 4 or less.

Thanks for the input.

Hi there--I'm a newbie here too, but here's some info I've picked up in the last few days.
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

The 7/4 deal is for new Disney Visa card members. Since it's linked to applying for the credit card, travel agents may not have any info about it. I would call Disney to see whether or not the the discount applies to your situation. The CMs are usually great (if not, just hang up & call again). It can't hurt to double check.

I have seen posts on the Pop Century board about groups of 5 booking connecting rooms. (You get a bonus of 2 bathrooms that way.) That might work for you, unless you want a deluxe/Jr suite for other reasons.

Good luck.

That's exactly what I did--changed from AAA to DV rate at CBR for a 7-night reservation and saved $235. The CM told me she had to make a new reservation and cancel the old one and that the entire room bill had to be paid on the DV. She gave me a new reservation number.

She also said that AP rates would be coming out "soon" and that they could be applied to the new reservation.

I called and changed from AAA rate to Visa room-only and saved $300 at the CSR!! I thought about upgrading to YC or BC, but decided I'd rather save $300 than spend and extra $1000.....Hope I made the right choice!!
