Got to go to Club 33 for the holidays (pics)

OMG. :cloud9: Thank you for sharing. One day- its on my bucket list. I can tell you though, I'm not wasting calories on salad when and if I ever go.

The thought was that a small number of members, both corporate and gold/silver, were making a large number of reservations daily and thus there was not space for other members to make reservations for either themselves or guests. Of course that info cannot be obtained by members and they will have to rely on Disney to be accurate in their reporting of "issues." It will be interesting to see if the limiting of complimentary passes (or discounted passes provided by the member) will actually make it easier for more members to make their coveted reservations.

The annual dues for 2011 were not $3,000 but $3,475 and the increase to $3,600 is not out of line....until one looks at the perceived downgrading of perks.

Yes, the new Platinum dues are $10,000 per year (and there will be no further gold memberships available) but the initiation fee is going a bit higher than 2011's $12,500....substantially higher.

So glad the OP had 3 wonderful days at Club 33. We are looking forward to our visit in July and October!

Thank you for posting some of your photos for us Cheri! I loved drooling over them again! And a big giant THANK YOU for the pin and other Club 33 goodies you brought back for me!!! I'm so happy that one of your long awaited dreams finally came true. I'm so glad you met a Disney angel!:littleangel: Can't wait for my dream next month!!!:cloud9:

thank you for sharing your pictures. I see you and your friend are nicely dressed for your lunch.

I'm taking my nephew tomorrow for lunch to celebrate his 21st birthday and am wondering about the dress code.

Last time my DH and I had dinner @ the club we dressed nicely and I believe DH had a jacket, but no tie.

Since we will want to enjoy the park after lunch I don't want to dress too fancy - are nice jeans and sweater ok? Does DN need a collar on his shirt?
thank you!

The first day we went, we were pretty dressed up. I was shocked...and I mean truly shocked...at the attire of many of the other diners. Granted, it was lunch and the dress code is much more lax, but really...! One guy had on a ripped, graffiti-covered t-shirt and cruddy jeans. A woman was wearing a stained, dirty t-shirt that barely covered her hidden Mickeys and many others looked like they'd not given a thought to grooming or neatness. I know I sound like a prude, but I think it hurts the reputation of a place like Club 33 to let things go so far down that road. It feels much more special if the people around you look like they were at least trying to dress well.

After the first day we wore jeans. We still "dressed it up" and that was perfect for us. The hardest thing for me was shoes, because most of my nicer jeans require shoes are not comfortable for walking around in Disneyland and I didn't want to lug around a pair of shoes in my bag. I ended up wearing my basic jeans that can be worn with flats so I wouldn't need to return to the hotel or carry anything. I could've gotten a locker but didn't want to. Besides, our hotel was only slightly farther away than the lockers :lmao:

So anyway, you and your nephew can certainly wear jeans and a collared shirt is not necessary. Tennis shoes are also fine. Have a wonderful time!! What a great way to celebrate a 21st birthday!!

Lunch is looser than dinner. Dark wash, untorn/frayed jeans are acceptable. And I would recommend a collar on the shirt. It isnt "required' at lunch, but it is recommended.

We also got to experience Club 33 this holiday season, and our visit was extra special because it fell on our anniversary. Here's a full report on our awesome experience.

DizME we might have visited on the same day!

OMG...your pictures are awesome!!! It looks like you even artfully arranged your food for the best photos. Wish I'd thought of that! Your pictures of the Chateaubriand make my mouth water...

It would be funny if we were there the same day! We went Nov 29 (11:15 AM--but it was after noon before I got to my entree!), Nov 30 and Dec 1. Were you there any of those days? We went to the last seating on the 1st and somewhere in between on the 30th. Terrie Jo was our server for 2 of the days and she was fabulous--so fun and helpful! ALL of the servers were great, and Blair, who worked the salad bar, was a cutie.

We were there on the 18th, so no I guess we didn't cross paths:) Blair helped out Robert in our service, and they were both awesome.

That has to be the best buffet plate ever! Congrats...one of my most desired experiences on my bucket list! :thumbsup2
