Got some pixie dust today!

DH and I have decided to take our kids to WDW in October (why plan ahead?). Anyway, over the last week, we've been researching our options. When looking online for a budget resort with free dining, we were unable to find availability. But, we found that we could get a room discount and add quick service dining..this plan, along with tickets would run about $2300 for our stay.

We decided to book today, but I thought I would call the reservations line just to see if this was the best price we could get. Well, this is when the pixie dust started flying. The reservationist was able to get us a room at POP with FREE dining!!!!! This brought our cost down significantly. We paid about $1800 booking it this way!!!

So, even though the website might show no availability for free dining, it's best to call and ask.

I'm wondering if there is an issue on website in regards to POP. I was trying to price out a room for Jan. and none of rooms showed aval. for my dates. I called since I wanted AAA room discount and CM was able to get us room no issues what so ever.

So happy for you. We always call to book too and have gotten some great help from some CMs. On the rare occasion I get someone less helpful, I kindly tell them I need to call back later and then try for someone more helpful. They have the knowledge and ability to help you find great deals. We discovered CSR this way and it has become our favorite resort. The discounts made it cheaper than the values and we would have never known that. They are also the most over booked for conventions, and almost always have lots of room turn over last minute. A CM has told us her favorite places to eat and the best was to add dining to a discount room. The big bonus is being wished a magical day at the end!!!!
