Hi. We have just recieved our confirmation letters in the mail. Should we call Special Services to double check our room requests? When we made the ressies last week, we were told that, yes, we would get one stand alone accessable room (with roll in bathroom) and a second accessable room adjoining a regular room.
Just don't want to get there and have things all mucked up.

YES ... always call at least 72 hours prior to your arrival.... they say, they get the rooms assigned week to week... so call them. Just call them, or the resort it self.
You have a wonderful time, they go out of their way to make sure you do. Don't ever hesitate to speak to someone at guest services. :wizard:

Oh..I see..then we should wait till November to call them and remind them? OK, I was going to call next week..:confused3

That makes sense, though.

rooms are assigned up to 5 days before arrival which is when the reservation is actually downloaded from the res center to the resort...you can call the resort directly and ask to speak to a room assigner at the front desk..they will be able to let you know if your request can be honored..they do block off the rooms when you request them so it should already be blocked off in your name :)
have a great time

Since Special (Medical) Reservations are the only ones who can guarantee an accessible room, I would call them now to confirm that is what is actually reserved.

The within five days of arrival call the "rooms assigner" at the hotel to confirm.

Also, what does your written confirmation say?
If it says wheelchair accessible room plus the other things you need, I would not call now.
If it doesn't say anything about an accessible room, then call right away and if they say it's all in the computer, ask them to send you a new confirmation that says something about the accessible rooms.

We just got our travel documents in the mail for our upcoming trip Feb 24 - Mar 2nd. Our hotel confirmation says "see special remarks on file". But when we check our reservations online at Disney's website, it does show our accessible room with rollin shower, as well as a connecting room. You might check your reservations online and see if your accessible room has been assigned and shows up there.

Oh, great. I will have to look at confirmations again..but I do not recall seeing anything about the special accomodations. I will have to check and then look online. I am going to do that now.
Thanks.
