I want one!

These things are so cool! I've heard mixed reviews of the IPad, but I can't find anything I don't like about it. Anyone care to share how they like their IPads?

Wasn't sure I wanted one. Played with one in a store a few time and the thing grew on me. Ordered a 3G version. I absolutely love it. So much so that I sold my Macbook (we still have an iMac).

My wife didn't think she would like it at all, but now she can't put it down. I ordered one for her this past week.

Love mine. I did not get the 3 g.... never thought I would want it. Now I wish I would have "just in case".....

I'm so happy to hear this!

Did you get the case? They have one where you can stand the IPad up, either horizontally or vertically. I'm thinking he may need that to protect the IPad.

Love my new iPad! I got the 3G and my daughters gave me the Griffin stand for Mother's Day. I ordered a beautiful leather cover from the M Edge people who made my Kindle cover. Red for the Kindle Dx and lime green for the iPad.

I still can't read on a backlit device for very long without it hurting my eyes, so I'll keep my Kindle for book length titles, but I've already subscribed to several magazines on the iPad and I'll drop all my paper subscriptions as soon as digital versions become available. I' d love to become completely paperless at home!

are they cool or what? I don't have one yet but I'm saving my pennies. went to play on one at the apple store and fell in love with it. Hoping it's a fad and I'll lose the urge. :rotfl: not looking good.

I just hope Apple doesn't come out with a "new and improved version" anytime soon!

I love mine, as well. I use the case and it's great because I carry mine everywhere.

I decided to get the case, too. I have the 3G, and I thought it wouldn't fit in the case, but the 3G is the same size as the other one.

I can't believe how lightweight it is. Why would anyone buy a regular laptop anymore?

I havent played with one yet but I know I want one!:rotfl:

I've been reading up on these and want one also. I want the new and improved version that also can hook to a printer, is a cell phone and takes pictures/video. :cool2:

I can then elminate my cell phone and camera!!

AT&T has two options for connections, the one for unlimited data and the one for 250 MB a month. 250 MB is a lot (enough), isn't it? I mean, would anyone but a business person need more than that per month?

That's why we got the 3G one. DH said, "When it comes to gadgets, it's not like we ever say, 'Man, I wish I didn't spend that extra $100 for more RAM/HD Space/better graphics card, bigger screen etc."

DH takes it to work everyday. He reads books and listens to podcasts on the bus, he listens to music while working (he is a computer guy, so lots of coding type stuff). At home, I mostly play games with it. But it's nice when we are in bed and we realized we forgot to check the weather for tomorrow, or what time a store opens so what time we should get up, we just grab it and look up whatever we need to. And we are new home owners and we have been working on some spring projects...turning on the sprinkler system, reprogramming it, fixing a broken sprinkler line, turning on our swamp cooler. We can have the iPad right next to us with the user manual, instructions. You don't want to lug a laptop up on the roof when you are looking at your swamp cooler for the first time. We took it shopping, and when one store didn't have what we were looking for, we looked up other stores and found out who might carry it.

It's awesome.

I am so torn between the iPad and the new generation iPhone that will multitask, and accept skype calls. I should only get one of them...........
