Got my Maclaren! (and security question)

We took our new Maclaren Volo and had no problems. We had a Disney tag with our name on it. :thumbsup2

We were at Disney in October and brought our Maclaren Quest Mod Stroller in Pink. We had no problems. I was a little concerned since ours is the Mod Pink and it stands out from the others.

seriously off topic - what model did you puchase? i ask b/c i have a combi i have just discovered my 2 yr old is too tall for! we need one fast for our trip and we saw a volo this weekend we liked .. i wish it reclined is my only hesitatancy
sorry to derail you!

I read in the Unofficial Guide about one family that places a diaper, soaked with rootbear, in a clear plastic bag and tied it to the handle. Thus, to all passerbys, it looked like a big runny poop diaper. I can't think of anyone who would want to steal that!

That aside, we have never had a stroller stolen. We did, however, have a bag of souvenires stolen from our stroller at Epcot when we went into the living seas. It was our own fault, and we were stupid for doing it. But you know what? The CM at the store we purchased everything from gave us duplicates of everything! Now THAT is Disney magic!

I love the Disney luggage tag tip! That way instead of telling CM what it looked like, if someone finds it they can contact you.

Our tall DS grew out of his Combi too. I loved that thing...wish they made them bigger!

We bought this one:

I am really happy with it, but the sunshade is a joke compared to the Combi.
I like the basket-much larger on the Mac. It is a little more difficult to fold, but overall it was the best option for us since we were spoiled by the Combi.
We went with the quest over the volo because of the extras.

I bought the quest in a Carbon Grey as they call it. I did not want anything to particularly cute. I did not want to increase the odds of it being stolen. I am sure my is pretty common. They are on sale at Target (free shipping) and you can also find them on Ebay.

I have the same stroller...and I love it! But I never worried about it at WDW...Macs are seriously a dime a dozen. :thumbsup2 (maybe not the same print, but they really are everywhere!)

The other posters are right - there are so many Maclarens at WDW that DH and I joked that Maclaren was "the official stroller at Walt Disney World."

I really wouldn't worry about theft - I just don't think it happens often.

Ooh I love this pattern!

Love that pattern!

I just wanted to chime in with another "you'll be fine..." We've been to WDW with a Mac and a Peg numerous times with no problems. Macs really are a dime a dozen there (and really everywhere now...at least near me).

One really cute identifying thing I saw on our last trip was a stroller with a bunch of fake dasies attached to the handlebar area. It was just so cute and wicked easy to spot! I'm also thinking a would-be theif would think twice about taking such a noticable stroller.

Cheers!
