got my itinerary package but no luggage tags!!

ok, I am really trying not to get all freaky and remain calm. LOL

We finally received our Disney package with our souvenir luggage tags in it, coupons, etc, but there are no luggage tags for the Magical Express!

How do I check to see if we can still get on the bus? CAN we still get on the bus??

We leave on Tuesday, so I'd really like to get this sorted.

The Magical Express vouchers and luggage tags are sent from a different place and come seprately. Call DME directly the number should be in one of the sitckys to confirm they have your reservation, as long as they have your reservation you can still board the bus and they will still get your luggage, you will just have to stop at the counter at MCO they will print vouchers for you for the bus and you will give them your claim tickets and describe your luggage and they will claim it for you. You will not have problems, I booked a last minute trip and there wasn't enough time to send me the DME docs, I was still able to use ME and the luggage service.

Sorry I didn't realize you were new to the Boards. I found the number for you 866-599-0951. One thing, are you clearing customs in Canada or in orlando or are you flying from the states, it will make a little difference in how the luggage is handled at MCO

Tozzie found the number for you, but just for general information/just so you know - at the top of the list of threads on each forum are some popular (usually DIS-generated) threads that permanently appear in those positions, on every page of the specific forum. This way, they don't get lost as newer threads are created or responses are provided for old threads.

I'm a bit confused by some of your questions...

I'm not sure what you mean by "souvenir luggage tags". We used DME in December and did not have souvenir tags. Ours were yellow and had our name and resort on them. Maybe things work differently since you are traveling from Canada.

If you are traveling from Canada, and if you clear United States customs before boarding your flight in Canada, then you can use your yellow tags on your luggage and it will go straight to your room. If you do not clear US customs in Canada, you must pick up your luggage, clear customs, and take your luggage with you to the DME lounge.

There are not separate tags for the DME bus. Your ticket for the bus is inside the brochure you received. You take your bags with you and give them directly to the driver who puts them in the luggage area under the bus.

When we used DME in May, 2009 we never received our DME packet with luggage tags. We had gotten our Disney packet (including the souvenir luggage tags) but nothing from DME. About a week before our trip, I started to worry and called them. They had our reservation down and kept telling me the stuff would arrive. It never did. We still were able to use DME but we had to stop at the desk by where you board the buses so they could get our luggage information (the receipts that you get when you check your bags at the airport). It took a few minutes longer than if we had received the stuff in the mail but it really wasn't a huge problem. Our luggage was successfully delivered to our room and we had a great trip!

Sometimes rain can be a good thing it tends to send people back to their resorts and the parks get less crowded. Bring rain ponchos/Jackets and Enjoy!
