Party for the Senses - October 2; our first F & W festival!

I asked concierge to book Sweet Sunday for 10/24 for me. I'm planning this as a surprise for our friend who is traveling with us to help with the 3 kids. Can anyone confirm who the chef is? Concierge said Nancy Silverton. I thought I'd get my friend her book. Here's a link to it:

This year went much smoother than last year. I'm still laughing about the "Poor Unfortunate Souls" comment. I was listening to that too. I was on hold for about 20 minutes but got both events I wanted: the FWP at Coral Reef on 10/29 and the Brewers Dinner at Rose and Crown on 11/3. See y'all there.

Mom is taking the 5 yr old to the BWV pool while I go with my son's godparents and DS (who tho 7, is wheelchair bound, non-walker, non-talker. He will enjoy the scenery and the hubbub (sp?) and some special time with his godparents. They have home down in the system, but likely we will no get charged for him.

So if you see a redheaded daddy with redheaded, wheelchair bound boy, that's us!

I emailed my travel agent this morning about 9:00 (noon at WDW) and she came back at 2:00 with everything that I wanted.

Food & Wine Pairings at Coral Reef on October 7th

Food & Wine Pairings at Le Cellier on October 8th

I saved $344 with the new AZZ code for my 14day visit, so I decided to spend it on the F&W Festival. I figured I would spend the rest of my savings on the little food booths that are in the World Showcase.

I am so excited about how everything is working out. I am going solo so if anyone wants to meet up, I'm available.

PumpkinBoy - Look forward to meeting you! BTW - I've been to the Food and Wine Pairing at the Coral Reef 2 years in a row - and they were both spectacular! The restaurant is almost empty, except for our group - which usually sits together at the far end - so you can grab a good view of the tanks easily (especially if you show up early). Food has been fabulous both occasions - one of the best bargains of the F & W festival in my opinion.....Jill

Has anyone done the Brewers dinner before? I was thinking of booking the one on 10/20 if they still have it. It is our anniversary night and we were planning on Citricos and maybe another MNSSHP. Which would you guys do?

I had dinner at Citrico's in May, and it was nice, but I had a lot of fun at last year's International Beer Dinner (precursor to the Brewers Dinner) at Rose and Crown.

I don't know what the American Brewers Dinner will be like, as that will be new to everybody. I'm booked at that one.

We will be at the Party For the Senses on 10/16 We may add the Teppanyaki pairing on the 18th too!

11/6 - Australian Wine School (attended the Bordeaux Wine
School last year - wonderful)

11/7 - Exquisite Evening at Epcot - Tour de France

This is our first visit during the F & W Fest. After being on hold 35 minutes at 4:00AM, I did get what we had picked out. Wahoo……10/24 Parings @ Alfredo’s. I wish they would list what they are having at the events. I have food allergies and afraid to attend too much of the special events. But this will be all new to us so we’ll have fun no matter what.

I'm now also going to the Le Cellier wine pairing on 11/12, by myself! FH will be at work, and my new school has *homecoming* Friday off (University of Florida). FH will probably meet me there for some late night snacking afterwards. I'll try to have some green ribbons on me and my camera bag so people can recognize me.

I'm getting giddy about this

We'll be making our reservation for the 10/23 Party for the Senses, as well.

Hi! I will be there with my DH as well. I am 5'1 he is 6'3 and I will try to wear something lime green! My pic is somewhere in the 30's (page) in the thread "mental images of posters" on the community board if you do a search too.

I will try to remember to wear a DL t-shirt that day. My DH id 6'1'' & I am 5'6". Just think of Morticia w/out glasses.

I know, I will save my HM shirt for that day.

I also saw that you will be @ DL next year. The GC is my fav. DL hotel. We stay ther a couple times a year, just for a weekend get-away.
