Got my AAA package today -- A little bummed

So, we received our travel package today from AAA. I was so looking forward to seeing the park hoppers & luggage tags. Well, all of them are exactly the same! I thought I read from others on the disboards that they got a mixture but ours were all the same. All the same boring Celebrate Today park hoppers and all the same Goofy luggage tags. I called AAA and asked if I could have different ones but they said Disney only gives them out based on how the package was booked and I couldn't get any others. It really doesn't matter, I mean at least we are going to Disneyland! But, I wanted to share my story so others don't get their hopes up and get disappointed...

Id get bummed if they forgot to send my park hopper, not that it looked like someone elses. Don't let the little things get to you. There are worst things that could happen you know. You will have a great time.

Wow, sorry to disappoint you. Yes, I was looking forward to what my park hoppers would look like. I do have CNN and many other "newsworthy" websites I read and reference. I really don't think you need to insult me or judge me based on a comment. I will try find the other post I read about a person receiving their package and debating who got which park hopper card.

Any other people out there who enjoy seeing what their park hoppers look like when they get them in the mail or at the booths?

I didn't know there was such a thing as Disney luggage tags. I'm off to ebay to see if I can get some.

I see no reason to get nasty here. She has every right to be excited about her trip and that includes her tickets. I have saved mine from every dl visit and yes, we liked that ours were usually different looking!

I'm sorry you were let down. But you're going to have a great trip regardless. The luggage tags are usually the same in my disney packages and the parkhoppers can be too. So not surprised that the luggage tags are the same. Hope you guys enjoy your trip!

We got our Costco package today, too! Yeah, I figured they'd put in a variety of luggage tags, but nope. Now we have 5 Donald Duck luggage tags. Well, it'll keep it easier to group together at the hotel.

We were excited to get ours from WDT and let me tell you a fight ensued over who got which one! I would of preferred them all the same that time! Lol we had a Minnie, Cinderella, Snow white, Mickey, Donald. I got the Donald lol
I miss them cause we traded them in for APs and those are not too pretty IMO

I think the difference is that people book using different companies. The OP in the first thread you linked to never said what company they used...

From just thinking about what I've seen, it seems taht the most interesting packages come directly from WDTC and from getawaytoday.com. AAA and Costco are kinda boring, relatively. That could very much be wrong; it's just what comes to mind.

Definitely. Though if you renew them by mail, you get to choose from a selection of characters, so it gets more fun if you renew them (by mail).

Our luggage tags were all the same (Goofy). Maybe we could start a trading thread! Then we could all have a variety of luggage tags! I know that we can't swap tickets, but tags could be. I love the luggage tags since they are so colorful and 3-D; but my boys are not a fan of Goofy.

All of our tickets were the same Celebrate ones too. We also had a AAA package. I was hoping for variety as well.

We booked through AAA last year and for 8 people ended up with 4 different designs: Mickey, Snow White, Buzz Lightyear and the Cheshire Cat. There was much discussion over who got which one.

And, as far as the grouch who was surprised that this was something you were looking forward to, to me that is what the DIS is all about. Aren't we all here because we're excited about something or another Disney-related and we want to share that excitement with like-minded folks?

The package we got from Costco had the same luggage tags but the tickets were different. Looks like it just depends on the company.
