We will be on WDW for three full days. I have a PS for CRT on the morning of 12/12 & plan on calling on Monday for a PS at Breakfastosaurus on 12/14.

I was not going to have a breakfast PS on 12/13, now I am thinking maybe I should?

We are staying at the Poly.
My choices are either just get something at the 'snack bar' at the Poly or make a PS at one of the following:

'OHanas
Kona Cafe
1900 Park Fare
Chef Mickey

We plan on spending 12/13 at Epcot all day & have a 5:30 PS at the Garden Grill. I would like to be at Epcot at 9am for the opening. I know there is a Princess Breakfast in Norway, but as I understand the first seating is at 8:30...no time to finish by 9am.

I am leaning to either have something at the snack bar or have a PS at 'OHanas or Kona Cafe for around 7:30 & then we can just walk to the TTC & hop on the Monorail to Epcot & get there around 9am or just after.

What would you do?
btw--we have never ate at OHanas or Kona's

I see you have another PS later in the day. We generally try to only eat one pricey meal a day. But CM's is so much fun! If you aren't already planning a meal there,
you should definetly go there for breakfast. It's in the CR, so you can hop the monorail around, and hop back on to go to EPCOT. They have a great breakfast, buffet, my personal favorite along with Donald's breakfastasaurus. Since you're going to EPCOT it would fit right in with your plans. I have never had breakfast at the Poly. I have had breakfast at GF and it is not as good as CM's. Again, if you aren't already going to CM's, you really should book it for breakfast.

BTW, thank you for your response to my CRT post. Looks like we are running the same circles. Up until a few days ago, we were staying @ the Poly, but we finally got an AP @ GF, so we switched. We're so glad we got in @ CRT, it will by my DD's 1st birthday the day of our PS!

Hope you have a great trip!

We usually only have one pricey meal a day too but the PS at Garden Grill later that day is part of the Candle Processional package.
We usually are big breakfast eaters & then just "snack" our way through the rest of the day. We are very light lunch/midday eaters so I am thinking if we do have a PS breakfast the morning of 12/13 we will just have a very light lunch so we have room for supper at the Garden Grill.

We were not planning on eating at Chef Mickey this time around. We have been there before & enjoyed it. It is an option though. I am just wondering if it would be easier to eat somewhere at the Poly since we are staying there.

Originally, we had planned to stay at the CR but switch to the Poly when we could not get AP rates at the CR. I haven't bothered trying again for the CR, I am excited now to stay at the Poly.

We eat every trip at Kona Cafe for breakfast no matter what hotel we are at. Have to have our Tonga Toast. They have a great breakfast menu and if you want more than what is offered at the food court then it's a great alternative. Also if you are a coffee drinker it is a great chance to try the pressed pot they offer, very good coffee.

It will not be as expensive as a buffet and very easy for you to just walk over to TTC after breakfast to get the monorail to Epcot. O'hana's will probably take you longer, but if you want to see characters is would be worth it. We love Chef Mickey's but I think you will have alot of jumping around to do to get there and get to Epcot . Alot of time to waste. Just my 2 cents.

But I think the menu at Kona is great and would work out best. We will be eating there later in December and are looking forward to it.

How is the Tonga Toast? I read what it is but is it overly sweet?

I am not a coffee drinker, but my hubby is a big one so I am sure the pressed pot will sound good to him.

Are PSs a must of Kona Cafe? I would like to be done eating no later then 8:30. Anyone know what time Kona Cafe opens?
I was thinking about Chef Mickey but I do think it would be a lot of "running around" especially since we are staying in the Poly. It might be simpler to grab something there & just walk to the TTC & head to Epcot.
Oh well, we will save Chef Mickey for our June trip ;)

I guess I will ask my hubby if he would like to try Kona Cafe or OHanas. Like I said we have never ate at either place.
I think we would save money if we ate at Kona Cafe though.

The tonga toast is alittle on the sweet side. I would suggest not putting anything on it before you try it. It doesn't need syrup or anything added to it. Last time we had each gotten one and found it heavy to finish. But we sure were reved up for the day between the tonga toast and pressed pot of coffee. This trip we are planning on splitting an order of it and something else, probably eggs.

It is very good and our 2 dd's like it too, but we are finding as we are now in our mid-late 30's it is sitting alittle heavy in our tummies.;)

I would suggest giving it a try though and others say they ask for it grilled instead of fried and I'm thinking of trying it that way this time around. Worth sharing at least once though.

Kona is a must do for us, too. Great food and service. I usually split an order of Tonga Toast with my daughter or son. It is very sweet so we never add syrup. 1/2 order is still alot!

Kona usually opens at 7:30. We do PSs but it usally isn't a very long wait I don't think unless you are going during a peak week. If the MK opens at 9:00, I usually do a PS at 8:00 now that the gates don't open early. We make it to the MK before it opens. Ooops, you're going to Epcot...you'll have no problem being finished by 8:30 if you do 7:45 or so I think.

Kona is cheaper and better than 'Ohana or CM I think. Of course, those are character meals but since you're already doing those you might appreciate a nice, calm meal.

Well, my hubby just came home from work. Told him we got into CRT! He was happy, I told him he just wants a pic with Cindy ;)

Anyway, I talked to him about where to eat the morning of 12/13. We looked at the different menus on Deb's website.

We decided on Kona's Cafe!!! I am not sure if I will try to Tango Toast yet, but I am pretty excited trying a place we never ate before.

Thanks everyone for your ideas.

Now, I will call Disney Dining again tomorrow but at least I know I won't have to call exactly at 7am!!

Kona is wonderful and will be great since you have other character meals. DH and I will split a Tonga toast plate and a Eggs Benedict Plate right in half. One comes with a side of home fried potatoes, the other with bacon, sausage or ham. SO, we each got a half of Tonga toast, 1 egg benedict(plate has 2), 1/2 order of potatoes and 1 piece of meat. It was PERFECT!!!!:D I don't think I could handle an entire plate of Tonga Toast, but this was really the perfect meal with the eggs and all. Our waitress said that was the right way to do it too as it can be too sweet. Looking forward to trying it again in Oct.! Enjoy!
